You'd prefer 4GB to download every day just to run some pre-alpha quality code? I mean that's what you get if every single compile like some people want was pushed as a build.
The clues in the name, mate... This is a 'Windows 10 Technical Preview for Beta Testers' These releases are Beta versions of Windows 10 for TESTING How the hell are you meant to test any part of an Operating System if your installing new versions every other day Take a look at the other threads in this section. Even with the incredible skills of the Dev's and Programmer's on this forum it can take weeks or months to work out why something isn't working, or to find a workaround for a problem. Without spending some time, or actually doing some testing. Windows 10 will be buggy as hell, and we won't have the great toys the guys here provide for us.
Thankfully, It failed to install on mine. However, I do not need new drivers as my Realtek HD Audio drivers are already dated Jan 20th 2015. I prefer to use the Audio software that Realtek builds, so how do I stop Microsoft from trying to install theirs?
This particular one is dated 6th February 2015 and it's version 6.0.1.7446. That question has no definite answer in Build 9926. It is like something you can't stop at the moment rather than to accept it with equanimity.
That's what I would have thought, but unfortunately it did to me. Haven't touched the PC since last night when I turned it off, turned it on and it was on 9879. I'm at a loss for words, really unbelievable.
Maybe you had inadvertantly installed 9926 in dual boot mode maybe? And it booted into the older installation maybe? lol just throwing ideas out. With each install looking the same to me I sometimes have no idea what Windows version I am in. lol
