[DISCUSSION] Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 9926

I solved this problem in Win98 by leaving the standard icons on the desktop. All others were in Quick Launch Bar or Start Menu. This worked great until Windows 8 broke it.

Yeah, kinda the same thing here. On the systems that come to me for fixing, it appears 'My Pictures' in for 'Selfies' and the 'Recycle Bin' is for 'Rude Selfies'

 

The ones that come to me for repair always go back with recycle bin empty. If the user has a panic attack when I tell them I cleaned it, I then show them what it is for, and where I put the stuff that was previously in the bin. If they actually were using it correctly, I delete the backup copy.

 

Quick launch still works in 7, 8 and 10

Quick Launch is used to open a program quickly from a shortcut on the taskbar. In this case in a toolbar The Quick Launch folder is located at the hidden system folder location (step 2) of:

C:\Users\(user-name)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

1. Right click on a empty space on the taskbar and click on New Tool.

2. In the Folder line, type or copy:%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

%AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

Hit enter

Unlock and drag

Right click and no text

WZor or Microsoft the race is on, but WZor has not been on Twitter for 14 hours.

 

that does not indicate anything. He can be brewing stuff for a bunch of leaks or he just has nothing to give away.
MS will put out real stuff very soon though ...
MSDN site got pruned by today and it seems that they need space for the coming up
honestly I'm gonna wait for official things just to be on the safe side

I'll be waiting for the official release too.

Nothing against WZor, but why would anyone go for one of his leaks, when theres an Microsoft official one on the way.
It was different for Windows 8, where Microsoft wasn't releasing anything.

I fact I can't see WZor releasing anything, why would he risk his contacts by releasing something a few hours ahead off Microsoft.
