If we will can to boot it dirrectly from vhd file, then we do not need to flash it, just put it on any hard/usb drive and add into bootloader
Hi everyone - a noobie here Hoping you can point me in the right direction... I have a Lenovo Yogabook (Atom Processor); had it for sometime and find it extremely useful and versatile as a counterpart for my Surface Pro It has recently had challenges installing the latest Insider Builds and thought I would try with the XDA generated Windows 10X installer. Everything is ready to 'rock n roll' but it requires the 'RealeaseType: Test' and not 'ReleaseType: Production' UUP files, but I am unable to find them... anywhere Any pointers would be much, much appreciated Thank you
Thanks @drew84 Downloaded the 'test' package but still saying same thing... But now you've pointed me to the thread, I'll give it some 'hacking' and see what I can do
The problem is the file is clearly not being flashed properly somehow going by the strange partition layout. VHD or not. You put a non-bootable partition setup on a VHD, guess what? It still isn't going to do a thing.
You doing something Wrong. Instruction tested and correct and show command to flash correct partition number from VHDX to hard drive, then it show you how to fix partiion table.
Hi again peeps My apologies if I need to be more educated with this stuff - it maybe beyond my reach... I followed the instructions for the XDA Developer 10x install and it indicated that I need the 'test' files and not the 'Production' files @drew84 pointed me to UUP Dump - Thank you When I click the link for [Test amd 64] (not allowed to put links in until I've done 5 x posts) and click through the links, it says the 'Total download size is 4.39Gb' When I click 'Create Download Package' it downloads '20279.1002_amd64_en-us_lite_fa8904cc' which is just 2mb Sorry to be so 'thick', but what am I missing - besides a few grey cells? Do I need to be fluent in php or C++? - If so I'll back off now Thanks everyone
Well, I thought it was all going good... Started the build and it ran to it's completion after around 1.5hrs The CMD prompt finished with the standard drive location, awaiting input... Looked like W10 was still in situ, so I rebooted - and it just fired-up in the normal W10 :/ Thought I would 'reset' the PC and start from scratch - that won't work either now - 'Required file are not trusted' "A good day to die...." Any ideas?
I used the MS Store Emulator + Build 19578.1 I had a few hoops to jump through but now it runs good Installed on (host) MS W10 Prelease Build 21318 as insider. Spoiler
Thanks for this.... but my Yogabook is stuck on Build 20211 and won't update from this - tried all sorts. This is why I thought I'd try 10x - Oh so close... Guess I'll have to wait for a more elegant solution

Thanks for this I had a browse on the MS website and it recommended 8Gb RAM My YogaBook has only 4Gb and an Atom Processor, so it may defeat the purpose as I don't want to install on my Surface or Desktop at this point But nice to have the links etc - appreciated
Final Question: DevImgGen.exe has successfully created an image in D:\Win10x\W10x Install\flash.ffu From this, how do I get it to install the OS on Lenovo YogaBook? Thanks in advance
Hey guys, any more screenshots from your installs? Mine is in a Emulator so I am wondering if your real HW installs are much different. Here is a couple new ones of mine *The Settings window (@ the bottom screenshot) is just the top 1/3 of all the choices. The odd snip was a freeform choice Spoiler
