"SkipApps =0" on your screenshot how about you attach correct screens first so you never read readme... Spoiler: Store_Apps Code: Below options apply only for Windows 11 build 22563 and later SkipApps Do not add Store Apps. AppsLevel Control added Apps for Client editions (except Team). Set to 0 to add all referenced Apps Set to 1 to add Store, Security Health, App Installer Set to 2 to add level 1 apps + Photos, Camera, Notepad, Paint Set to 3 to add level 2 apps + Terminal, Widgets, Mail / Outlook, Clipchamp Set to 4 to add level 3 apps + Media apps (Music, Video, Codecs, Phone Link) / not for N editions StubAppsFull Control preference for Apps which are available as stubs. Set to 0 to install as stub app Set to 1 to install as full app CustomList Enable using CustomAppsList.txt or CustomAppsList2.txt to pick and choose the added Apps. If enabled, this option takes precedence over AppsLevel option. How to use: You can either use CustomAppsList.txt directly, or copy/rename it to CustomAppsList2.txt Edit the choosen file, and remove # prefix in front the Apps you wish to add, and save the file. Extra Bonus (not an option) The script supports adding LanguageExperiencePack (LXP) along with other Apps. How to do: Download required LanguageExperiencePack files from UUP dump or store.rg-adguard.net Place the files into UUPs folder (or the alternative UUP files source folder) before starting the conversion process.
If you want to have a custom Apps list, CustomList must be 1. AFAIK, AppsLevel will be ignored with CustomList = 1.
@rayman95 I saw your screenshot that you posted an hour ago: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1896014 Let me give you an opinion about your settings in "ConvertConfig.ini" file. The "ResetBase" setting is known that breaks "Reset my PC" feature. Yeah, I know it doesn't work and it's better to simply format and clean-install the new Windows, but the less you modify or remove things, the better. So, it's not recommended. The "wim2esd" is only useful if you will save the ISO in your personal files. Because if you are planning to only "burn" the ISO in a 8+ GB USB and then delete it. It's better to use "wim2swm" instead. Because a large WIM file (more than 4 GB) while using Rufus, will need to create partitions in the USB (one little FAT32 to boot, and a NTFS with ISO contents). Also, "wim2esd" consumes a lot of time (CPU and RAM). The "LCUmsuExpand" flag doesn't need to be explicitly enabled, it will be used if need it. So, it's not necessary. "UpdtBootFiles" is only if you really want to have the UEFI 2023 certificate, AND your UEFI/BIOS has the "certification" updated. So, if your UEFI with Secure Boot has 2011 "certification", it will NOT boot a ISO with UEFI 2023 certificate. So, it's not recommended. "SkipEdge", are you sure you want to remove the Default Browser??? What happen if your Chrome or Firefox gets damaged and you need to complete uninstall it and download the installer of the browser??? It's better to have Edge, if you need it some time. Not recommended. "SkipApps", as I said some hours ago in another post. I prefer to have the Windows UWP apps if I need them some time. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1896006 (Look the "On topic" / Last part). So, it's not recommended. "AutoEditions", sincerely, I just use "Enterprise" edition. You can make your life easier, just creating a "Pro edition" ISO, and then with MAS, you can change to whatever edition you want. "Education" and "IoT Enterprise" are not "better" than Enterprise. So, either "Pro" or "Enterprise" edition would be enough.
old myth, it's recommended to resetbase it and remove old junk incorrect, set it to 2 to integrate LCUs in MSFT way without trickery extraction
No, it's not an "old myth", it's on the Microsoft documentation and UUPConverter ReadMe file And what "old junk"??? With "Cleanup" setting is enough. With "ResetBase" you only gain around 50 MB free. It's not worthy. So, it's NOT recommended to "ResetBase"
this is absolutely old news, that feature was broken only on Windows 10 1809 (and before that), and since then it was fixed everywhere https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1612756 both W10UI and uup-converter never break that feature since Windows 10 1809 (read it as "builds 1903+ are safe")
Guys? Please, stop. Now. Checking the history, there's really nothing big changed, just typos. I'm doing that with my own posts, too. Edit: Cleaned up. Please behave.
It seems to have more processes (+8) and a bigger memory usage (+200MB), so something has definitely changed from 27975.1. Also Chromium browsers DNS lag went up from 5 secs to 15 secs.
I'm not sure which Windows 11 this bug started in but all the way up to 25H1 its still there. If I right click an Edge instance in the task bar, the context menu appears over a static spot unrelated to the instance I right clicked. It almost feels like Microsoft was so set on you using both 'centered' and 'combine always' that it ignores 'left' and 'combine when taskbar is full' options and uses the wrong X offset for launching the context menu. The location of the context menu seems to be about 50% of the way between the left and the furthest right instance.
28000.1 also plagued by the zombie task manager bug. On the VirtualBox I installed it on every zombie instance consumed between 10 and 20 MB of ram and randomly spiked cpu usage.
can confirm other than that no real issues on main pc for more than a day, everything survived after 25H2->26H1 upgrade
The Task Manager [X] button issue in Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 28000 can be resolved by enabling these CFR features. Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 # Resolve Task Manager process might continue to run in background after app is closed # Undo - Delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\FeatureManagement\Overrides\14 Registry Key and restore default values. # You will need to open CMD as administrator. Some of the german translations are quite interesting: "Run" usually is "Ausführen" in german, but now is named "Laufen" in SmartScreen, which means indeed "running". Create a new MS account on the setup process is called "Zielen einen neuen" (Aim at a new one) probably meant around "Aim for a new account". (?) ^^
It's true, although that feature is very IT/business specific. Also, with "IoT Enteprise" edition, the "Meet Now" on taskbar can be activated (like on "Pro" edition). I've always thought that "IoT Enterprise" is like a "hidden" edition that includes literally everything (like Pro+Enterprise features), it can be used from home to business environment.
