@Enthousiast Hello, how can I install .NetFx3 on this version? Code: The program gives an installation error on Windows 11 26H1. Windows 11 26H1 has ended support for .NetFX3. *** When installing with Dism or PowerShell: Error: 0x800f080c Feature name NetFX3 is unknown. Error: 0x800f080c Feature name NetFX3 is unknown.
well, the very old drivers on my ancient laptop are working fine with that standalone nfx installer, so I can confirm it works on my end I suppose your software is checking the nfx3 state in an unexpected place (should be the windows registry, right?), can't see an obvious way to fix it
@Enthousiast I also encountered this error when it 100% after restarting, so it reverted back to 1546 build. So later today I'm going to build a homebrew iso created using uupdump and upgrade that way. Should work, now bed time as my eyes need some rest.
That's not good as I have a lot of stuff in my personal folders, still going to try the upgrade if not then start from scratch again. Thanks MS for screwing up your builds and forcing people to clean install.
Will do, I just started making the conversation process of build 1611. I have launched setup and everything is available to me with the installer. (Backup my stuff just in case, but nothing was removed after the upgrade.) I will point out that I made a registry change before launching setup, to get this to work and setup will restart after launching the exe. I have attached this as well. The reg changes the build number to 28000.1546.amd64fre.br_release_flt.260124-0306. Update - The build installed with no problems and the build info in bottom right is now correct.
I had 28020.1371 IIRC (upgraded by ISO). Then, updated to 28020.1611 by W10UI. Worked OK. I guess with Server I'll have to go clean...
May i ask what triggered you to change the buildlabex to a not really existing build? Did it offer to keep all before the change? And did WU fail for you too? I am testing a fresh 28020.1546 install (without MRP) and running WU, to see what happens and what update method it uses, hotfix or full uup file upgrade like it did with my original canary channel install. Testing that too, might not be tonight but it is on my todo list 28020.1611
