@Enthousiast I did have WU issues before, and after restart it got too 100% but then the update had to revert the changes. Tried with msu file and same again. As for changing the build number, I thought I'd try and trick the system but I should have tried upgrading before I changed the build number to see if it would work without changing build number. So I guess my reg trick either did or didn't make any difference. But hopefully your test will answer that question, and if it does work without any issue then I will remove the reg file from my post.
Your wife gives good advice. It's definitely a head scratcher, I think the update wanted to upgrade from the build I was running which was 28020.1546. I just hope this isn't a regular thing from MS, but wouldn't surprise me if the next thing they mess up could force another upgrade within a update. Anyway I am also now relaxing on my sofa playing games on my PS5.
Windows 11 Insider Preview 29531.1000 (rs_prerelease) canary channel !!!! time for a new thread i guess
Tried to update my desktop from 28020.1495 to 28020.1737. It only gives me the option to SAVE NOTHING. I can't bullet the SAVE files and settings option.. Then tried build 1747. Got the same issues..
