Has anyone managed to get this working with Windows 11 Pro 25h2? I tried with the registry keys, but it didn't work.
vivetool.exe /enable /id:55369237 NativeNVMeStackForGeClient vivetool.exe /enable /id:48433719 UxAccOptimization vivetool.exe /enable /id:49453572 Standalone_Future U need only this features enabled on 25H2 Pro, but have in mind that safe mode not working and can cause boot problems
Spoiler Code: reg add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Policies\Microsoft\FeatureManagement\Overrides" /v "156965516" /t REG_DWORD /d "1" /f reg add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Policies\Microsoft\FeatureManagement\Overrides" /v "735209102" /t REG_DWORD /d "1" /f reg add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Policies\Microsoft\FeatureManagement\Overrides" /v "1853569164" /t REG_DWORD /d "1" /f Sooo. I have got fed up with this ordeal and I have upgraded to 26H1 and it seems to do the trick, but I have got mixed results. Slow disk has got noticeably slower and fast disk has got slightly faster. I have to use slow disk for Windows, not happy about it. My slow disk is PCIe 3.0 running in PCIe 4.0 slot and my fast disk is PCIe 4.0 running in PCIe 5.0 slot.
So not a big gain then.... had the same with my 25H2 not realy a big gain so I reverted, also samsung magician did not listed my NVME disks anymore.
Thanks, I'll try it. I have two NVMe drives, 1 Samsung with Microsoft drivers and 1 Intel with Intel drivers. Could that be why it's not working ? Do all NVMe drives need to have Microsoft drivers, or is just one sufficient ?
About which sort of NVMe drivers are you writing? Windows needs drivers for the NVMe SSD as "disk drive" to detect and to manage it as device (only the related MS drivers will work) and for the NVMe "Storage Controller" to manage the data transfer via NVMe protocol. For the latter purpose all compatible third party drivers can be used.
But all NVMe drives have Microsoft drivers for the "disk drive" part. The drivers offered by the manufacturers are for the "Storage Controller" I've never seen drivers for disks other than those from Microsoft, and since the prerequisite is having a Microsoft driver (therefore for the Storage Controller), I was wondering... Or are there drivers for disks other than those from MS (for the Disk Drives, not for the Storage Controller) ?
Here are my two other drives since Fernando said most AMD chipsets saw no improvement. Here is me proving that guy doesn't know what he is talking about. I provide facts not fud like he did.
I waa expecting an overall huge improvement here: That is one test result out of 4 different tests, the other 3 are hardly different. And here it is the same, 3 have no real difference and one has a visible difference but not really big. In practical use, what do these numbers mean? I am not responding to personal accusations, we are a discussion forum and no insults are needed. And he showed factual test results too, that needs a click on the winraid link he published..
