That's new to me, my friend (the one with 660p) does able to use native nvme on 24h2 (atlas os), seems like you missed some registry to add, but even if you did use the script i share above and it didn't work, maybe some member who knows deeply about this would able to explain.
I used the registry keys mentioned in this post. I'll test with your script to see if it works for the Samsung (the Intel one has the Intel driver, so it shouldn't work for it if I understand correctly). Thanks
nvmedisk veto's the chain of support for ByPassIO, effectively disabling it - not even partial support is available if the disk driver veto's. Directstorage will effectively take the path that it does on windows 10 without BypassIO
I was obviously referring to the modded drivers still working with SecureBoot... BypassIO = new Win11 DirectStorage is disabled with Native NVME.
I was able to test it and here's what I have (Samsung 990 Pro in PCIe 3.0) : Before : After : I'm going to stick with the old driver EDIT : add SSD model
What model please? It seems that the newer model, the better performance and vice versa. It definitely sounds like MS, only the latest hardware supported for max benefits.
Yeah, that is like mine, PCIe 3.0 slower performance, PCIe 4.0 slightly better performance, I wonder if anyone has tested PCIe 5.0?
I have just updated BIOS (ComboAM5 1.2.0.3g to ComboAM5 1.2.7.1) and it has improved results. My assumption, software/driver support is important. Software 1. The latest BIOS 2. The latest chipset driver Hardware 3. Motherboard PCIe support (Gen4/5) 4. NVMe disk, the newer, the better (Gen5)
