MS software engineers like to make things needlessly complicated just to show their incompetent bosses that “Look I am working my ass off to make Windows better.. Don’t fire me.” They might get fired if they perfected the system and the next intern who gets hired will do the same thing. Keep on switching things to make it worse and worse.

It's not exactly a baseline, although it could be misinterpreted that way. I don't see TRUST as binary. It's not two states: Trust or not-trust. Trust is on a continuum, generally in relationships and in business. I don't think anyone is perfect, but that doesn't mean that I don't trust anything they do, or that I don't trust the contracts that they make, or that because a company makes an OS that is not trustable, that I should not trust anything they do. That's called "Throwing the baby out with the bathwater." I think everyone has a BS detector. Something about "Recall" causes my BS detector to go off.
