In my case is the reverse, Windows 24H2 takes less time than 23H2 (at least with the modern installer until the country selector) Possibly then the "slowness" is because Win 24H2 is updating the system with the latest Cu available (I think)
I keep getting this error, installed using 26100.2152 ISO by uupdump. Edit: Well after a few search here and there, I'm not alone.
You're not alone, my friend. And the worse thing is it's random. This update wouldn't even show up on one of my systems but keeps getting stuck on the other one.
I don't know exactly but it could be after I installed powershell 7 connected to wu in my case. Completely anecdotal.
LCU reinstallation is required if you have any new FoDs or languages installed on your system, nothing new here but then it gets more interesting: en-us language pack from Windows Settings app breaks LCU reinstallation with MSFT and UUP dump ISOs https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1854261 I can't check all the languages in the world and I don't want to, I just integrated en-us LXP into install.wim as a workaround (uup-converter supports it now, check readme) so this issue is not new at all, it was there on Server editions since 26100.1 release as well tl;dr 24H2 is not ready for production, but who cares
OK used uup dump to make 26100.2033 iso fresh installed and no weird issues start menu like (frequently used programs even it was turned off would have shown up in 26100.2152) vbs off by registry and everything runs great once again like it should .
Did you install from BIOS, did you use the new installer from 24H2 or the old version from previous versions?
Added to the updates Overview, it seems some people can't find it in the hotfix repo. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1830860
Enthusiast answered that question. Just saying 26100.2033 runs like 22631.4387 after the registry trick of turning off EnableVirtualizationBasedSecurity
gaming performance is noticeably better with VBS turned off, and you can expect the same if you are doing some heavy work like compiling code or something
I have a specific feature ID that I want to get more information about, where can i find such information ?
Are the latest Massgrave's ISOs already ready to market? I have tried to upgrade using their build 26100.1742 twice and always I'm facing some problems with the system - Windows Update failing to install latest hotfixes, audio devices configuration is broken in some way and dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth completes with errors, which I'm unable to fix manually.
