Thanks for sharing! I think it's a different issue. I downloaded the KB5044384 msu and tried to install it manually, but it couldn't be installed. Anyway, I already went back to 26100.1742 and paused the update for 5 weeks.. I hope the next CU could resolve this issue.
Believing is nice, having measurements is even nicer. What exact HW, what particular benchmark? I am yet to find a case that reaches 5% mark, for which i have to get rid of functionality i use. Re link i posted previously, those reg entries seem to be half working. Secure boot needs to be disabled, msinfo32 will report VBS not running, but performance is still exactly same. Conclusion: if you use HyperV then dont bother with disabling VBS, seems cosmetic at best
anyone comes along with showing frequently use programs in start menu even you turn it off here is the fix just turn off circled in red
I have this Spotlight issue for like 6 months, even on 23H2, as well as on Lock screen. Even though the setting is set to Spotlight in Lock screen, it just sits on the default blue picture.
[WindowsDisk Cleanup app] Fixed: After you use this app, it might show the wrong amount of disk space that you can free up in the 'Windows Update Cleanup' category. [sfc /scannow command] Fixed: You get errors every time you run the command. [ALT + Tab] Fixed: The screen goes black on some PCs for a few seconds when you switch between certain windows. Good fixes.
They fixed the specific 8.63 bug, but not the bug itself. DISM fails for more people now. A great update, bringing more bugs than are actually being fixed.
.2161 yes fix a lot of issues getting to like 24/h2 more still in MS apps you hit help and click license terms it is stuck have to still hit the ALT key to bring it up guess I have to open my feedback to MS about this
RPC breaks when you remove staged / installed baseline packages, your component store is corrupted fix is easy: in-place upgrade to 26100.2161 or try two-step upgrade, 1742 first and then 2161
in-place upgrade to what build exactly? if it was straight to 26100.2161 then you can try again but this time in-place upgrade to the 26100.1742 build, this one only has baseline packages and nothing else
Can you try: Create an uptodate 26100.2161 ISO (no cleanup), extract the install.wim and run: Code: md "%SystemDrive%\Fix_Mount" dism /Mount-Image /ImageFile:"x:\install.wim" /Index:1 /MountDir:"%SystemDrive%\Fix_Mount" /ReadOnly Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:"%SystemDrive%\Fix_Mount\Windows" /LimitAccess dism /Unmount-Image /MountDir:"%SystemDrive%\Fix_Mount" /Discard rd /s /q "%SystemDrive%\Fix_Mount"
