You can argue all day about Windows 11 vs Windows 10 vs LTSC vs (whatever else). But if you're going to run Windows 11, which I do, then I would recommend that you use the latest production release. At this moment in time, 24H2 build 26100.2605, which is working very well for me.
I will shortly be doing a fresh install of Windows 11 on my main PC, having stuck with Windows 10 until now. I plan to install using en-us 24H2 MVS ISOs (November updated) 26100.2314 I DO NOT wish for any of my connected drives to be, or ever be, encrypted with Bitlocker. Is using the checks in Rufus when creating an install media enough for this to be disabled, and stay disabled in the future? Or is there other measures I should take. Just a little confused regarding Bitlocker and reading how it is enabled by default etc.
I prefer using Win_11_Boot_And_Upgrade_FiX_KiT_v5.1f option 1 and never got bitlocker enabled using iot ltsc
anyone tried inplace upgrade from iso 24H2 .1 (=base without any updates) built by uupdump ? fails here (bare metal + VM) , first file copy progress ok then error before reboot, upgrades OK with Microsoft ISO.
Windows Update pushed Windows 11 24H2 to me. As you know there's no CANCEL button for me to stop the upgrading process. I shall let you know in a month's time if there are serious bugs in Windows 11 24H2.
Does anyone know why is not MSDN ISOs published yesterday and will be in December? Maybe Thursday like last resort?
The staff that dish out the MVS ISOs need a break, like everyone else. It's end of 2024 and there are massive celebrations all over the world to ring in the new year.
If it ISO of the latest build - 26100.2605 it's not important, because it hasn't yet the new features of 26100.2454. Maybe we need to wait for Christmas. It's tuesday.
No insider updates, technically the preview updates on catalog are not insider level anymore, but he meant there should have been MVS ISOs released yesterday, they probably would have been build 26100.2605. Scratch that: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1860152
What if MSDN decides not to release ISOs this December? What will you do? Sue them at the Supreme Court of the United States of America? Do give MSDN a break. You have better things to do. End of chat with you. I have better things to do.
