Hi, sorry for the confusion, the fix was for Disk Cleanup; I had the same issue after upgrading from 11 23H2 to 11 24H2 on both my systems; I was getting Error 1726 after running dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup. You don't need to remove all the updates with superseded state, just the ones that start with "Package_for_RollupFix...", then reboot and run dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup /resetbase. After this you should not see any superseded status at all, and disk cleanup should work properly with new updates. You could also try an in-place upgrade from an ISO image but it may reset some settings and apps.
OK, but I have a lot of "Package_for_RollupFix..." so it would take a lot of time. Also, I didn't even try dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup so I don't know if I have Error 1726 and I only want to remove the Windows Update files or for Disk Cleanup to show the right size of them.
You can safely run the command from terminal, it should also be in task scheduler, in microsoft -> windows -> servicing.
OK, but does it have to do with my problem? EDIT: When running the commands, PowerShell freezes with a tilt.
Hi, try running these in order, maybe you have some corrupted files within windows: dism /online /cleanup-image /checkhealth dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth sfc /scannow
Welp, looks like no new builds for Dev or Canary this week. The Windows Insider team on Twitter/X is absurdly quiet. Very odd.
Most likely. Weirdly they didn't even tweet there wouldn't be any builds this week for those 2 channels. They are just... dead silent. But I did suspect it would be a while before we would see anything new on Canary/Dev. Since they are preparing to move Dev insiders over to 25H2. EDIT: 26120.3291 is out. No se_release yet.
Awkwardly, build 22635.4950 for Beta has way more new features than 24H2 26120.3291. The Insider program grows more pointless each year. Consumers get features before Insiders, and Beta/RP Insiders get new stuff to try before Dev or Canary. But my greatest pet peeve is that no matter which Insider Channel you choose, there is still the darn A/B testing and Controlled Feature Rollout, which means sometimes an Insider WILL NOT get any new features whatsoever.
