    Quick Test:

initial situation: Windows 11 Pro 24H2 retail build 26100.4770 (July 2025)
    1) installed KB5054156 (enable 25H2).
    result : Windows 11 Pro 25H2 retail (no dev/insider-) build 26200.4770 (July 2025)

next: searching for Windows Update: nothing found.

    1) try to manual install CU-Update 2025-08
windows11.0-kb5063878.4946-x64.msu cant be installed, because only for 24H2 retail/VL/OEM
Windows11.0-KB5064075.5742-x64.msu cant be installed, because only for 25H2 dev (not for retail)

    2) deinstalled KB5054156 (enable 25H2)
result: Windows 11 Pro 24H2 retail build 26100.4770 again
windows11.0-kb5063878.4946-x64.msu installed, because for 24H2 retail

result: Windows 11 Pro 24H2 retail build 26100.4946 (August 2025)

    3) installed KB5054156 (enable 25H2)
result: Windows 11 Pro 25H2 retail build 26200.4946 (August 2025) (no dev/insider build)

conclusion: no automatic Windows updates in August/September 2025 for 25H2 retail Edition available

Did you expect anything else with the 25H2 EP being a dev channel cab and the dev channel enrollment is still needed to get the next dev channel updates offered and the manual installation was tested not working already.

No, just a test this weekend because its to hot outside.
I can definitely wait until October, especially since the 25H2 enable update doesn't bring any improvements. ;)

How many times do you need to see a license agreement from an app?
