I'm waiting until I can no longer modify Windows to make it work the way I want but I'm going to install it on a test system to start getting used to it now. The Linux community should make a build for first time Linux users designed for people like my mom.
I'll stick to 23H2 as long as I can (even after expiration) waiting for a more decent version of Windows to come... Linux is just a no go for a main machine, especially for gaming in HDR + VRR.
Just remove appx package: MicrosoftWindows.Client.AIX_cw5n1h2txyewy which contains AI-applications in 24H2
What is going to become of this 26120.xxxx enablement package is it going to go the way of the beta channel kind of like how 23h2 has worked or? Does anyone know or is it just some dead end?
I don't agree. I think: "Nickel" was released with 22621. After release - 22622, 22623, 22624, 22631, 22635 firstly was beta-insiders builds, but later was released as "moments" updates for "Nickel" with "enablement swich packages" But 22808-23620 builds - are really internal builds not for release, in which preliminary prepared new features for 22622+ updates And similarly here. "Germainum" will released with 26100 and 26120 - (dev-insiders for now) - planned for release as future "moments" update with "enablement swich package". But 262XX+ builds - are really internal builds not for release, in which preliminary prepares new features for 26120+ updates
So where does this eventually go? Does it become beta or what happens? All of the enablement packages for 23H2 eventually became retail except for this last one which is still ongoing.
Is there official information from Microsoft when will be official upgrade from Win 23H2 to 24H? I mean date for example.Im wating the same operation like last year when from 22h2 -Windows upgrade OS to 23H2.When we have to accept this "gift" ?Thanks in advance for information!
what is your point here? 26100 is retail for 24H2, period 26120 is for insider channels only, check package description
Like EP 22631 was Insider before being "Retail" no? We can assume that the EP KB5037898 for 26120 will also be in retail
