A question about Windows Update drivers. Should you also install optional drivers or just those from Windows Update?
Excuse my ignorance, but I'd like to ask how this build is Retail. UUPDump mentions that this build is on the Beta Channel, and not Retail: https:// uupdump.net/selectlang.php?id=ad1caad2-04fe-444b-ba3a-fb2815d52eac (I can't post links, so I left a space in) What's happening in this case? Thank you, and again apologies, as I'm mostly ignorant about this and just want to update to the retail 24H2 on x64.
If you already installed 26100, then 26100.863 is Retail otherwise, it's Insider Release Preview UUPdump Channel info only means the build was first detected by checking that channel (with certain parameters) it doesn't always indicate that the Update ID belong to that channel or if the build is public / insider
Thank you for your reply! I am on 22631.3737 of 23H2. I'm just wondering if now it's a good time to install the 24H2 iso to get the new features. All this insider stuff is confusing me, heh.
Boot Safe Mode Menu is not translated yet with these builds 26100 and 26120, while with 22635 no problems at all. I hope Microsoft will fix it soon.
DC dates: 26100.863 - June 15, 2024 26100.793 - June 10, 2024 26100.500 - May 11, 2024 793 and 863 LCU weren't signed on the same day, so everything is outdated compared to 26100.863
I just noticed that apps are missing in build 26100.863 just like in the Beta 22635.3785 / Dev 26120.961 builds but.. 26100.863 should be in retail, so it looks like it wasn't intentional and they just f**ked up again
So is 26100.3 a new build? This is the .wim info when I update Server 26100.1 says sp 3 Spoiler: 26100.3 .wim info WIM Information: --------------------- GUID: {A1683B4C-BDC9-4537-AFDC-95B6A533C6B1} Image Count: 4 Compression: LZX Part Number: 1/1 Attributes: 0x8 RP_FIX Image Index: 1 ------------------- Name: Windows Server 2025 SERVERSTANDARDCORE Description: Windows Server 2025 SERVERSTANDARDCORE Flags: ServerStandardCore Files: 65627 Folders: 13655 Expanded Size: 9086 MB Image Index: 2 ------------------- Name: Windows Server 2025 SERVERSTANDARD Description: Windows Server 2025 SERVERSTANDARD Flags: ServerStandard Files: 115136 Folders: 22933 Expanded Size: 18898 MB Image Index: 3 ------------------- Name: Windows Server 2025 SERVERDATACENTERCORE Description: Windows Server 2025 SERVERDATACENTERCORE Flags: ServerDataCenterCore Files: 65553 Folders: 13641 Expanded Size: 9085 MB Image Index: 4 ------------------- Name: Windows Server 2025 SERVERDATACENTER Description: Windows Server 2025 SERVERDATACENTER Flags: ServerDataCenter Files: 114915 Folders: 22897 Expanded Size: 18896 MB WIM XML Information: --------------------------- <WIM> <TOTALBYTES>4806108389</TOTALBYTES> <IMAGE INDEX="1"> <DIRCOUNT>13655</DIRCOUNT> <FILECOUNT>65627</FILECOUNT> <TOTALBYTES>9527419365</TOTALBYTES> <HARDLINKBYTES>3464061787</HARDLINKBYTES> <CREATIONTIME> <HIGHPART>0x01DA840C</HIGHPART> <LOWPART>0x4F75E0EA</LOWPART> </CREATIONTIME> <LASTMODIFICATIONTIME> <HIGHPART>0x01DABFF9</HIGHPART> <LOWPART>0xAA3C1892</LOWPART> </LASTMODIFICATIONTIME> <WIMBOOT>0</WIMBOOT> <WINDOWS> <ARCH>9</ARCH> <PRODUCTNAME>Microsoft® Windows® Operating System</PRODUCTNAME> <EDITIONID>ServerStandard</EDITIONID> <INSTALLATIONTYPE>Server Core</INSTALLATIONTYPE> <SERVICINGDATA> <GDRDUREVISION>0</GDRDUREVISION> <PKEYCONFIGVERSION>10.0.26100.1;2016-01-01T00:00:00Z</PKEYCONFIGVERSION> <IMAGESTATE>IMAGE_STATE_GENERALIZE_RESEAL_TO_OOBE</IMAGESTATE> </SERVICINGDATA> <PRODUCTTYPE>ServerNT</PRODUCTTYPE> <PRODUCTSUITE>Enterprise</PRODUCTSUITE> <LANGUAGES> <LANGUAGE>en-US</LANGUAGE> <DEFAULT>en-US</DEFAULT> </LANGUAGES> <VERSION> <MAJOR>10</MAJOR> <MINOR>0</MINOR> <BUILD>26100</BUILD> <SPBUILD>3</SPBUILD> <SPLEVEL>0</SPLEVEL> <BRANCH>ge_release</BRANCH> </VERSION> <SYSTEMROOT>WINDOWS</SYSTEMROOT> </WINDOWS> <FLAGS>ServerStandardCore</FLAGS> <DISPLAYNAME>Windows Server 2025 Standard</DISPLAYNAME> <DISPLAYDESCRIPTION>(Recommended) This option omits most of the Windows graphical environment. SPBUILD is just LCU number the build can't be new, Windows11.0-KB5039417-x64.msu was signed on May 12, 2024 idk what branch is it but should be some OEM update
This build has smoother animations, but it's still not completely smooth. And ACM is still a stuttering nightmare.
Just installed 26100.863 and Windows apps like MS Store just won't open... Something very weird with this version...
I have seen on some devices that the bios updates are in the advanced options so I thing you should always check and install most of not all of them. The only problem I have is that in those settings it shows that my android device had a driver update which it does not need.
