yeah can confirm, "Windows.old" is still present, and the "Device Encryption" is gone in "Settings - Privacy & Security - Device Encryption", so no automaticly bitlocker encryption after fresh install. (if you dont use the regtweak that prevents the encryption) apps are included (.863 MS ISO)
Is anyone else experiencing issue with MPO randomly getting disabled for no apparent reason? In my case it even happens while playing a game!
oh well, still not fixed then that's a relief, I've been using a reg tweak to disable it by default. Now if this is disabled by default since this 863 ISO (like 23H2 & earlier) then I guess I am done with that reg tweak. However, I created the 863 ISO from UUPD using the latest uup converter v105z, while on VM the installer worked without any issue (apart from the high installation time compared to 23H2 that I've been experiencing & mentioned here earlier) today, while I tried to install this vanilla 863 on a real HW (system), the installer gave me this error anyone using the UUP-made ISO facing/faced this same? @abbodi1406 Are you aware of this? anything related to the UUP-Converter or anything else in your knowledge? Am thinking of creating another 863 ISO with UUP-Converter v103.
I suspect something weird is happening when i play WH40K: Darktide and this could be MPO, how U check when this disables got kicks in? I try to play with forced off and see if my problems with random stuttering is gone.
Clean installed yesterday, I don't have the Windows.old folder, but when I installed, I found the option to use old installer right after selecting language on initial install, I think the new installer creates this folder.
indeed the new installer is to blame for creating could Win.old folder even for a CI but what did you find that 'option to use old installer'? can you specify with a screenshot?
@Enthousiast I have Win11 Enterprise activated with HWID. Currently install was as follows: - using Consumer ISO with ei.cfg, installed Education. - upgraded to Enterprise using its proper key. AFAIK, Enterprise is about (exactly?) the same as Education, so after changing the key, it simply activates Windows, without even asking me to reboot. As I'm doing a clean install for 24H2, what would be the proper way of doing it? The procedure above or use a Business ISO to install Enterprise straight away?
That is just an updated ISO, an UUP dump ISO is created by using it's download and conversion... I made 26100.863 ISOs (Updates from the overview and W10UI) for my monthly releases when the LCU was released last week and no problems reported.
can you tell me which version of UUPC you used? & what was the exact route you took to produce the 26100.863? You added the 863 LCU KB on the top of 26100.1 or any other build?
I never go the install one SKU and next switch to the actual desired SKU, but it doesn't hurt to go the runaround route
As i told many times, only create a 26100.1 ISO on uup dump, nothing extra, just the clean 26100.1 ISO use a copy to do this: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1840692 This is done with the 26100.1 LTSC ISO but it is the exact same with the 26100.1 ISO from UUP dump.
As I wrote, I have been doing the same for yrs, base +latest LCU KB, still got that issue so asked BTW, you didn't mention your UUPC version that I asked earlier
The UUPC converter, you mean UUP>ISO that was moved with the UUP Fileset when it was first available on UUP dump months ago. Lemme waste some time on this, the lcu was released last weeks tuesdays, i didn't save the logs.
