installed patch 26100.994, animations seem fine, can't tell the big difference
Task View still stutters for the first 3 seconds or so

    overall, it's usable

No worries, already answered by someone else
You TC & get well soon.

BTW, does this new 26100.994 release also have the same bug?
If anyone has done the CI, let me know.

In my case it's playing Tomb Raider Remastered. Once MPO gets disabled, game starts to microstutter.

Won't the Disk Cleanup tool in Windows remove the Windows.old folder?
It can do it after an upgrade, so I can't see why it shouldn't be able to do it after an install.

My guess to why it happens would be that the install process now resembles the upgrade process (from a UI standpoint), so the logic is most likely the same.

It seems that most users that have a windows.old folder are using UUPDump. My guess is that the database UUPDump is using is only intended for upgrades.

With ISOs readily available why bother using UUPDump?

My install process is to use DISM to apply the image from the ISO (split into SWMs) and then apply the CU.

I read few pages ago people complaining about windows.old, so I just wanted to say that I use UUP Dump exclusively to create all my ISOs, actually I don't remember the last time I downloaded any ready-made iso from Official MS, and I've never had this windows.old folder appearing after any of my installs (I always do clean installs)

Any reason why I can't create 26100.994 ISO on UUP dump?

"This build has known issues preventing the creation of a working ISO."

    The page clearly states.
