How can HDR be enabled? Windows 11 tells me it isn't supported in my PC when I bought it April last year so I find it odd.
Open the Settings panel, then go to System, then go to Display. You should see the HDR toggle here... If you don't see the HDR toggle, then your display drivers might be the default MS ones, or out of date, or the monitor you have does not in fact support HDR. If your PC was sold to you as supporting HDR, and it doesn't, then talk to the place you bought it from. There are still a lot of awful monitors out there that don't support HDR, and many that do are not "real" HDR.
It doesn't appear. I don't know if it supports it. I just assumed the laptop did. What do you mean by "real" HDR?
souple things, .994 will WUA to .1000. and 1st thing i do is disable Defender 100% and never have issues with updates...
What method do you use to disable Defender 100% because we each say a different one, can you explain it or put the file to disable it?
I completely uninstalled defender with all its services including the user interface.I am using iot ltsc 24h2 enterprise, I received all updates one by one from 26100.1 with WU without any problem untlil now, I am currently using 26100.1000 without defender... just make sure that "get the latest updates as soon as they`re available" is checked. maybe that's what is causing your problem.
Anyway to replace powershell by cmd prompt on start menu right-click just like we could in the previous versions?
Just create CMD shortcut named "Windows PowerShell.lnk" here: Code: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Windows PowerShell
just open powershell then type cmd in it ..simples You gonna be typing anyways also ..if hold shift then right click on the folder it will give the cmd as admin option
How exactly you are removing defender via autoun.xml? And after removing/disabling Defender the 'Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus antimalware platform - KB5007651' update still being offered in 24H2 via Windows Update? Especially after receiving & installing the next version of LCU?
Could you please explain in more detail as how to achieve this? Do you call a script from autounattend.xml? If yes, please post the contents of the script. Cheers.
I can provide you with script sources, but the actual offline or OEM folder process is not something I've personally done "by-hand". AFAIK it's not super complicated. Here are the source files you need: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...es-you-guys-disable.75202/page-6#post-1742386
Thanks, no problem with the OEM folder process, just the code. It seems there is a lot of other stuff also in there. Cheers.
Is there any way to remove this from Start Menu due to the "Recall" app is removed in previous update?
