in terminal as admin try sfc /scannow Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth also try Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers to see if aix package is really removed but i dont think so
no you are wrong.as i said before i completely removed defender with its UI and disabled all related services.my guess is that something else you are doing is blocking the update, not removing defender.maybe this could be all kind of cleaning programs/scripts including registry or disabling some services or event trace sessions or some tweaks you did.
Tried many times many different combinations only was able to remove sechealthui and WU still worked but as Soon as I removed all defender packages wu stops installing updates. If you can, Type defender in autoruns just unhide windows services in options, make screenshot of autoruns and post it here.
Has anyone gotten their hands on one of the new snapdragon laptops yet? I've seen some reviews on youtube, but all these youtubers are following the exact same bloody script and it makes me kinda skeptical about em.
Have some where I work, so far I've booted one with Ventoy to see if I could start installation from some of the ARM ISOs on here but they don't load. Haven't had time to make a dedicated USB yet. From what I've seen online the battery life and performance is unmatched on less demanding native tasks, but they lose ground quickly with more intensive work.
Support on linux for the snapdragon's gpu seems about at least a couple of months away, but I'm more interested windows' general performance and how it emulates various older x86 apps. Guess I'll have to wait a few more weeks.
The only related appx package is MicrosoftWindows.Client.AIX But another PC running 24H2 also has this package installed, but does not have the Start Menu problem.
Sadly this Lenovo it's not available over here just yet. Does it need any kind of Lenovo software to take advantage of all of it's features ? Have you tried the LTSC Arm version on it ?
It only has Lenovo Vantage App (which is a Store app you can also download separately and can control a few extra things) but most of it its pure Windows 11 and all software, drivers and BIOS updates come from Windows Update. The only thing I immediately uninstalled was McAfee Antivirus tho... No need to try any other OS as you can easily debloat with the usual tools (e.g. OO ShutUp and Chris Titus utilities) Microsoft Activations Scripts for both Windows and Office also work.
maybe because of another pc has 24h2 iot ltsc installed? install iot ltsc and aix will be installed but disabled and you wont see it in start menu
Obviously you dont As of build 26052 the version string as been changed from 23h2 to 24h2, basically what i said in the first place
