IoT Enterprise - it's just like normal Enterprise but for IoT devices IoT Enterprise LTSC - just like Enterprise LTSC (no MSFT store, no new features at all, no Copilot) but for IoT devices, different licence IoT Enterprise LTSC Subscription - the same as above but a subscription service
What is MSFT? Is this the one you would recommend for a regular user? I mean for a solid and light operating system?
Microsoft I hate LTSC on home systems, I prefer Education for home users, or Enterprise if you want all in one LTSC is ok in any production environments - install and forget about it for 10 years or so
The most significant benefit of LTSC (this goes for pretty much any LTSC/LTSB/LTS release, regardless of whether it is Windows, Ubuntu, or whatever) is its sole purpose: to provide a stable environment. Stable =! reliable. People need to remember that stability doesn't equal reliability. You can have ongoing/rolling releases that prove to be just as reliable or even more reliable than LTSC/LTSB/LTS releases. The primary purpose of stable releases is to provide a "snapshot" of a point in time and keep the release static for its lifetime to provide a stable software experience. This means this release should not get any future feature updates, new software, or significant changes to how it looks, works and operates. If you want a never-changing experience with as little bloat and unnecessary fallacy features as possible, then LTSC should be right up your alley.
26100.2 is the build given to OEMs. There shouldn't be any user-facing differences compared to 26100.1.
That's some wild speculation. Microsoft will patch this 26100 code for 3-4 months to make sure that the things are ultra stable for LTSC use. Expect 300-400 Mb worth of CU updates and then it will be seeing GA. (General Availability) For enterprise customers.
