What AMD cpu do you have? because there should be no cpu support changes with 26H1 or 26H2 compared to 25H2. Check the IP in my title and the ISO filenames are also telling you InsiderPreview, in this case early access. When the MVS and VLSC and the Techbench ISOs, MCT and ESDs are available, then it is officially retail.
Same here! And the cursor changed to the Windows 98 style. No way to change it back to it normal form. I guess we'll have to wait until next CU
Still there for me, freshly downloaded, says its an insider preview build. You have a special newer ISO or something? Mine is 26100.1742
UUP is useless sadly, it thinks everyone who wants english is an american, as it has no en-gb language option. What I am after is en-gb 24H2 LTSC which doesnt have insider preview watermark.
The Defender problem is related to Defender itself and not to Windows. Version 4.18.26070.9 (Stable) works fine, but version 4.18.26080.3 (Beta) has a notification issue across all Windows builds. The problem with the desktop background and mouse pointer is linked to KB5120998 (26x00.2978), whether it’s installed directly or integrated into an ISO. Microsoft needs to fix both problems, and for now, we just have to wait.
The problem with the desktop background and the mouse pointer could indicate a scaling issue. (Caused by Windows / Microsoft). Some users have no problems at all (neither with the background nor the mouse pointer), while others have a black background and inverted mouse pointers. Although you can probably change the background manually (in some cases), Windows often resets it after a restart. For now, there’s probably nothing else to do but wait for the next patch release.
If I go to the settings to change the mouse pointer, it's impossible to change it, even clicking on the pointer doesn't make the change. Unfortunately, there are some defects in the files integrated into the update, whether I install the update from 26200 or directly install Windows with the latest ISO released on Windows Insiders.
You can probably change the background temporarily, but it almost always turns "black" after a restart. You can't change the mouse pointer. (As far as I know.) I'm sorry if I didn't express myself clearly.
