Microsoft has solved Remote Desktop issues with update fix
At last, Microsoft has solved Remote Desktop issues with update fix kb5052093. Now, it works as in past with no traces at screen.

Not sure if spotted before. New setup of 24h2 shows my second harddrive extended/logical partitions duplicated and with lots of errors:
I've tried to update boot.wim with latest CU too, still buggy, make it really feels unreliable.

Yes, the 24H2 modern setup is buggy a lot, it don't warn anything about deleting partitions or files or installing Windows on it, the amount of "unallocated spaces" with 1MB or something, the appearance of the USB booting drive on it, etc.

solution is to make your own partitions, look online for correct procedure
    Or
If you're facing this issue, you might want to ensure that all partitions are properly deleted and the drive is set to "Unallocated Space" before starting the installation. Additionally, checking the BIOS settings for boot priorities and ensuring the correct drive is selected can help avoid complications
Disable other drives to avoid partitions being created on those to

When I manually clicked on Windows Update, I received the following notification:

    Code:
2025-02 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5052093)
I am fed up of receiving Cumulative Update Previews and other Previews as well. I am not even on the Insiders' track/channel.

I noticed that the "Get the latest updates as soon as they are available" option is "On". If I change it to "Off", will I be able to prevent Cumulative Update Previews and other Previews from being downloaded to my device in the future?

    Thanks for your reply @Enthousiast

I don't want to install optional updates on WU, especially if they are offered as previews. How do I turn optional updates on WU off, as in forever OFF?

According to MS, you just don't click the button. By actively searching for updates, MS categorizes you as a "Seeker" and a Seeker gets offered anything.

Alternative, manual install once a month, or a WSUS Server filtering non-security stuff out and offering the rest.
