I've created and bootable usb through Media Creation Tool but during installation it gives me an not supported device info. I know about Rufus and everything to bypass this message but I wanna know why it's showing to me. The main reason I can think of it's because of the processor (Intel i5-8400) that they recently dropped from the supported processors list. Am I right? Or it's a glitch? TPM, Secure Boot, UEFI everything on. I wonder if they'll totally drop gen 8 when the next version arrives.
The 8th gen cpus are not blocked but removed from the OEM lists, no longer to be used by OEMs. Does the system have a TPM2.0 and secureboot enabled?
Yes! I logged on W10 and download pc health check and it said the device was compatible. I've used Rufus to bypass the requirements. I don't know what the issue was...
I was reading all about the new 'inetpub' folder, Recently I (clean) installed W11 Pro 24H2 26100.3775 in two systems, and then updated to 26100.3915 but in both of those systems, the 'inetpub' folder is not present even after being updated to the latest build 26100.3915 IIS is disabled in my systems and I haven't turned it on manually via Windows Features. So, could it be the reason for this missing folder?
@Clusterhead, @SM03 Here also fresh reinstalled windows 11 24h2 build 26100.3915 on different pc's and nowhere to see a inetpub folder ( didn't see it on previous installations too )[/QUOTE]
@HomeofMerlin I found this folder in an existing Windows 10 and Windows 11 installation after the Patchday updates. But not with a new installation
@SM03 However, I also wrote in another post that this folder apparently only (?) appears during an update and not after a Fresh Install.... . And I have also not activated IIS. Both installations, Windows 10 and Windows 11, were in the RP Channel at the time and have been running for about 6 months without reinstallation. These are my own personal experiences and may, in part, differ from the experiences of other users. (Although I must also say that I know of a number of other cases with the same experiences).
I have the inetpub folder, not sure if i broke it by marking it as hidden though lol Its got more than just system privilege security? It doesn't show up as a directory? is that the intended outcome? Ok never mind, i unhid it
It is created with special permissions for the security update on all Windows with April 2025 Patch Tuesday. Spoiler: Windows 8.1 PT Spoiler: Translated by Google to English My two cents. Thank you.
