[DISCUSSION] Windows 11 Build 26x00 (PC) [24/25H2 Retail- GE-release]

They're just backporting all the 25H2 (2612x & 262xx) builds features gradually into the 24H2 retail channel via the 24H2 LCU, with all the MSIX packages integrated.
nothing special.

 

These aren't the new features of the 25h2, but the apps linked to AI and Recall

Has anyone got the new start menu enabled by default on either Dev or Beta?
I believe this is the most prominent feature of Win11 v25H2 on standard Non-Copilot+ PCs.

 

Oh, really? I thought the new v25H2 features will be available in the next months. Because the final version would come in October 2025.

It's incredible that recently the "new" updates of a modern OS have more than 3 GB in size; being fully bloated of stuff that would be only used in certain PCs (Copilot+), and even, enabled only by a few people (that wants to be controlled and spied by an AI).

 

Finally got the Snapdragon laptop, it's currently installing W11 (I think)
came with preinstalled W11 instead of 10 that I thought
Now i'm configuring the Microsoft account
When it boot to the desktop I will post more

With slot for 4G SIM (!!)
Very bright screen
Now getting KB5058502 for arm64 based processors!

 

None of these new features are good, lockscreen widgets mica effect get stuck on the previous picture color in slideshow.
No animated icons in taskbar widget,
Traffic info broke
Sports info broke
Please report the mica effect issue for the new widgets, they to dumb to even try slideshow before releasing

Simple solution would be to remove mica for the widgets ..its not needed on the lock screen

 

Sure enough... Installed build 26200.5641, the refreshed start menu is enabled.

 

i got a Friend that owns a Internet cafe in Somerset West he said to me the Next BIG Update for Windows 11 is September or October.

 

We've known that for months already it's nothing new

For me, the new customizable START is the only interesting new (25H2) feature that am really looking forward to.

That's the usual/scheduled time [Q4] of the year when Microsoft release a new Windows version, every year (earlier it used to be two updates, though).

And this year, that'd be the Windows 11 25H2 update (likely 26200 build).

ok bro. i Googled the Other day when is the next major update for Windows 11 and it said june 10.. i'm sorry for being captain obvious

 

Thats just monthly updates for patch tuesday not big updates unless stated that its moving build number like as in 25H2
