So it's removed PS 2.0 files were not updated since Win7 RTM Code: dir /b "C:\Windows\assembly\GAC_MSIL\Microsoft.PowerShell*"
Maybe not exactly in OOBE. Right after the first logon, I had the Optional Features panel open, and Windows flashed "removing WMIC" for a second.
They didn't remove the PowerShell-V2-Client servicing files. You can re-enable the feature: Code: for %F in ("%SystemRoot%\servicing\Packages\Microsoft-Windows-PowerShell-V2-Client-Package~*.mum") do (DISM /Online /NoRestart /Add-Package:"%F")
Microsoft is testing a Dreamscene-like feature in W11. On build 26220.6690... shown on X by PhantomOcean3... Of course its hidden by default. I guess its one of those experiments which will most likely never ship to consumers or insiders...
i have windows 11 24H2 IOT LTSC and installed enablement package it is now 25H2 we can convert LTSC to any version of windows 11 but can't convert any other version to LTSC and IOT LTSC so when i convert my iot ltsc now to other version for example education it will accept the new features of 25H2 ?
Because many use IoT mainly for gaming so it's good to keep up with features/builds with these EPs without the need to do a full upgrade or switch to "Bloated Editions".
Well, here's the catch: 25H2 does not bring new features. And I doubt that they will apply to LTSC when they appear. Product Policy overrides EP.
Actually I manually updated to 25H2 on a production PC with IoT 2024 and I did see a revised Lock Screen and Windows Hello with new animations and I think the new and more efficient CPU scheduler was also unlocked. All the rest seems virtually the same...like on Pro/Home editions anyway, but at least if in the future some apps/games will require the 26200 build to work, the updated IoT will also cover that after manualy installing the EP. Retail CUs seems also unaffected after manually installing the EP and they continue to be received like the rest of Windows Update. Also no violations using sfc /scannow It will be curious to see if the (actually) public 25H2 EP will be offered directly via WU for IoT as well or not.
Hi, I hope it's not already written by someone else ; but good news for "bypassnro.cmd" script : it's still there into 25H2 ISO.
in time not fully released Microsoft OS - soon to be Win11_25H2_English_x64.iso or 26200.6584.250915-XXXX.ge_release_svc_refresh.esd. Then again MS needs to open the gates, AKA as FEATURES for 25H2!
I don't think there are any new features. Wish we had more customised interface and taskbar to really make it unique to the end user, seems pretty limited without 3rd party tools.
Most of my issue with Windows 11 (and the general trajectory of Windows since XP) is the ratio of things I will never click to things I actually use. The vast majority of the OS is just in the way of what I actually need. At least it would be if I didn't remove the bloat before it gets the chance to install. Other than less consumed RAM out of the box, there probably aren't any real performance increases from removing stuff but that's not why I modify. I would literally pay extra for a version of 11 that installed with a huge opt in screen for all non-critical components. Clicking a few boxes and then 'NEXT' would be an amazing experience.
