Tomorrow or next week tuesday, nobody expected these to be publicly available on static links so nobody knows for sure when MVS releases will happen.
Guess the new start menu and all of those other new features will only drop officialy next year. Thanks to MSFTs glorious/sh**ty CFR | A/B testing system...
Updated to .6718 rebooted & run "vivetool.exe /enable /id:47205210" rebooted again. And new start menu appeared.
I don't know how many times we have to repeat that there won't be any new features enabled in 25H2 at launch, msft doesn't consider vivetool to be an official tool so those features are hidden by msft till they fixed it and/or are ready to enable those options.
I was referring to the Insider Program. Well maybe its time MSFT starts treating ViVeTool as an official tool for those who don't want to wait months to see new features...
One of the last tweets by brandon leblanc was that the new features where postponed to future builds, also in insider builds they can decide to not enable options or gradually roll them out.
Which is what made me leave the program at least temporarily. IMHO CFR and A/B Testing made the whole thing pointless. At least for now.
yes, that new start menu is F**ked glad not this year and hopefully they get it right M$croDumkids developers
Which one??? You mean on W11 next year? We are already on W11 sunset and they grinded out this atrocious start menu and even pushed back. To what point and purpose with W11 any more? At this point, just get it done on W12.
They are most likely developing W12/vNext actively. This is the reason why 25H2 has no features and Win11 development seems to have slowed down a bit. All major big user-facing features will be part of vNext! Mark my words: Bromine and beyond is what is going to eventually become Windows 12/vNext in fall next year!
It was about time. W11 was a spectacular disaster that idk how it managed to be kept for so long. Like come on, just include W10 start back.
No way, 2027 the earliest! People were hoping this Oct. since W10 support is ending, but no. Which made sense. But MS does everything senselessly so we might really get Wnext bit earlier
