Clean-installed from 26200.6584.250915-1905.25h2_ge_release_svc_refresh_CLIENT_CONSUMER_x64FRE_en-us.iso no problem! Pretty much same experience as LTSC 24H2 (the privacy settings at post-install setup has 5 options though instead of 6 like 10-11 24H2)

Is there a way to enable video as background now? Vivetool 57645315 doesn't seem to work:

    Code:
    ViVeTool.exe /enable 57645315
    Code:
ViVeTool v0.3.4 - Windows feature configuration tool

    Unrecognized parameter: 57645315

    No features were specified

    Try this:
    ViVeTool.exe /enable /id:57645315

Nice, thanks! That enabled seemingly fine:

    Code:
ViVeTool v0.3.4 - Windows feature configuration tool

    Successfully set feature configuration(s)
I thought I needed to be on insider though and have 27954.1 installing atm :p

You cannot use an upgrade fix that makes MS think it's a server version. Because actual server versions will not upgrade

it always worked with UFWS thing for me (--image-property WINDOWS/INSTALLATIONTYPE=Server on install.wim/esd)
that's how I was upgrading since the first W11 version

The tool works fine, all options passed the test.

UFWS + Server config and replaced appraiserres.dll.(= option 1)

Just keep the install offline during upgrade setup, so the appraiserres.dll is not replaced.

When the upgrade setup started then the requirements are bypassed successfully, errors after that are not bypass related.

I already showed him it is working fine:

PS, His problem is not related to the tool, it probably is that stupid 24H2/25H2 mess.

You can upgrade Servers, they just recommend against it.

= when it is released in the retail channel.

You can use it but it is not released in the retail channel yet.

And yes, updates will be installed by WU.

And the ISOs are already available (business) on VLSC and (Consumer) on the static links.

Currently, on an 25-09 updated system such as Education with the EKB, it will offer you an insider update.
    2025-09 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 25H2 for x64 (KB5066613).
Best to wait til the dust settles.

Those are 2 sort of ISOs, ARM64 and 64BIT (x64).
arm64 is meant for arm64 processors, x64 is for 64bit processors.

Where did they lie? They always go out of their way to call stuff weird names only to not say it actually is out.

Out for seekers, pre-release, early access and whatever they came up with during the years :D
