More like lost in space...and MSDN and even the difference between 25H2_English VS 25H2_EnglishInternational. What is English international now??? Before it was eng_gb VS eng_us There's only so much one can keep the track of. I'm keeping track of other things like 3d rendering, renderers, vfx, design. But can't keep track of everything.
There has been a trend to name en-gb products as en international, but not for some versions of Windows. I think for all intents and purposes they can be treated the same. I suppose the "international" designation is intended to cover other countries where en-gb is the official language in addition to UK.
It appears that intl. designation emerged very recently (not completely sure) . And MSFT is now coming up with made up linguistics
I used a Microsoft Money product back in 2005 designated as being English International, targeted to English speaking countries other than US. It may be new for Windows but not in general.
BTW, I am located in Australia and while Microsoft keep pushing the en-gb version to us, I found it to be problematic due to the keyboard. We use dollar as currency and while there is some argument about one vertical line vs 2 vertical lines in the "$" symbol, the USD and AUD can be treated as using the same symbol for regular use. The en-gb keyboard uses the £ symbol for currency and this creates an issue because there is virtually no en-gb keyboard anywhere in Australia. The en-gb versions tend to be associated by default with the en-gb keyboard. I don't know if I explained it clearly enough, but the end result is that I use the en-us version against Microsoft's approach and to avoid the automatic installation of the en-gb language pack which is the problematic one switching the keyboards, I configure a Group Policy to block automatic installations. The regional settings and user level language are set correctly to the Australian customisations.
Never thought of that, but a good call. My assumption was the date and time format are different by default and possibly some linguistic differences, like synonym words, different spelling etc...
WTAF? Has build 26120/26220.6760 been pulled from Windows Update? My test machine got offered build 26220.6690 instead of 6760. No matter how many times I click on "Check for Updates", there is no sign of 6760.
Hello everyone. I just read somewhere that ms removed the bypassnro workaround for installing w11 with a local account. Is that true? I can not test it myself
All those mentioned by you are valid, but the keyboard associated with the Language Pack (or the Local Experience Packs as they are now) creates most issues. The regional differences brought by the en-gb Language Pack are minor. Things like Favourites instead of Favorites in the menus or Colour instead of Color. Firefox for example has this implemented in the application itself, separately from Windows. MS Office Spelling can be installed separately from the Language Pack.
Hello folks, Hey, not sure if this is the right place to post this, so please move it if needed. I just got a new desktop with AMD 7 9800x3d and Nvidia 5070ti. I’ll mainly use it for Photoshop and Lightroom with lots of RAW files, and I’m planning to buy Adobe licenses. Do I need a legit Windows 11 license to avoid any Adobe issues, or can I just use the KMS_VL_ALL tool without any problems? Which one is better for me, LTSC or Pro version? Thanks.
Google Microsoft Activation Scripts (MAS) , download it and use the hwid method. you will be fine with it.
