i don't know where to ask but why one older game (nhl 06) which was running just fine on the latest version of windows 10 IoT enterprise LTSC 2021 doesn't want to start in windows 11 pro 25h2?

i have all directx runtime and visual c++ updated.

 

Some options for you
Check for Corruption, recently had an issue with a more recent game and it turned out to be the case
Run in compatibility mode
Run as Admin (some games require this)
Last resort__ Run your previous OS in a VM and run your game from there

 

little sign of something is when i use dxwrapper for dx9 games and enable option called "HandleExceptions" in dxwrapper.ini file. then nhl06.exe launches as a black screen in windowed mode.

but i could not get any further than that. there must be something i'm missing, since i was able to run nhl99, which is game from 1998 to main menu and change game options and settings. i don't see why nhl06 from 2005 could not work.

Just updated and tested: it's fixed

 

If the fix requires updating the files (exe, etc...), then the problem isn't solved.
To see if an update has been made to the registry.

 

Hard to tell as i fixed it enabling feature But after update task manager work as intended and close normally with X

 

Yes, after closing with X, no remaining ghost taskmgr.
