I'm playing a catch-up game now that I was forced to leave Windows 10. Which is the best ISO I need to use for integration with W10UI I can't make it through all these posts Thank you
Best is to start with the 26100.1742 MVS ISOs, they were the first build released in all languages. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1854344
It is unfortunate, the source is down, and I can't get the MVS_Oct_2024_26100.1742_SVFSFX for en-gb too They never last long /EDIT google was a good friend, problem solved
I have a pre-installed Windows 11 Professional sytem that came with my laptop and have been updating it with W10UI since then. Now it wants to upgrade to 24H2 with KB5062553 (July 26100.4652). Can I use W10UI with the chkpt + this month's LCU to do the upgrade?
On what exact windows 11 build are you now? You can't upgrade from i.e. 23H2 to 24H2 by W10UI, that needs a full ISO or WU upgrade..
I Always do clean installs and never needed to upgrade, but since this system was pre-installed and I never tried an upgrade with WU, I'm curious how it will go and how much garbage it will leave behind. Will compare before and after.
Count on about 20GB (also depends on how big the old install was), just use cleanup temp files to get rid of it, after you have checked the content of windows.odl for stuff you still need/want...
This is a new one on me. If I run WUMT, it no longer shows the upgrade. Instead it now offers: 2025-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5068865) Is this needed for the upgrade?
Just use an ISO to upgrade or leave it to WU. The message about there not being an update ready for your system can be updates related or bios or hardware/driver incompatibillity. As you said before, most would simply perform a clean install from boot, if only it was to start with a clean install.
Hello dear friend, in this post I posted how to enable it https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1895143/
I knew it was a gradual rollout for the versions before that, but for this one, they specifically stated a new start menu for everyone. Oh, well... I just did it. Thx. I got tired of waiting, but honestly, it's not much. I thought it'll bring something better. Idk why they took so long to release it. No customization either. Windows 10 is light years ahead. I'm sorry to forum if I'm being negative
