Ok, It looks like I can't do any kind of in-place upgrade and keep my current settings etc. because it just dawned on me that I shrank the preload install partition down to 60Gb back then and now only have 18Gb currently free. No wonder the upgrade failed. The WU message could have been more to the point though , instead of not yet ready for your device.
Shouldn't that be enough? I ran upgrades (from 8.1 Home >>>> 19045 on my laptablet and it had just 3GB free space on its 32GB eMMC drive
Don't know until I try the iso path. AI slop says 20-30 GB Free required for Win11 23H2 to 24H2 upgrade. No idea how correct that is.
The T100TA laptablet (transformerbook) never got a clean install or an ISO upgrade, only WU upgrades (it was mine but my wife hijacked it for her store games and i never was allowed to tinker with it, she let WU do all the upgrades )
Yes IF MSFT finally release refresh ISOs for 25H2, next tuesday as always on the third tuesday of the month..
Cool, thanks. I find it easier though using the Media Creation Tool to create the iso than manipulating an esd file with a third-party tool
Why there's no further Checkpoint LCU even after KB5043080 [26100.1742] that MSFT published 1.2 yrs ago, back in Sep-2024? Haven't they said there'll be another one within a year or something like that? Any official/unofficial statement or info regarding this?
