    My main PC is running 26200.7628, surprisingly today WU reinstalled kb5078127 and wants me to reboot...

    You mean the switch from retail to insider preview on an already updated install? that is not really always working anymore, inplace upgrade or even clean install is needed.

    The 26300 switch i showed was a full upgrade by WU.

    I'm doing it like this but it's not working... it doesn't apply the update when I restart the computer.

    defender-dism-x64-Jan27.cab is the correct format

    please try placing KB5043080 checkpoint update in the same location.
