I've seen no talk of anyone previously enrolled in Insider (unofficially, using the offline method for compatibility reasons), but now being out as of 26300.8289. Surely it can't be as easy to get into Experimental (in order to receive future builds) as adding the above. I notice that I have a lot in Overrides, but not a 14 branch. If the above isn't for this, what is it for?
OK, but what I meant is that 14 is already gone (if I ever had it). What I'm asking is whether what I quoted is at all relevant to getting back onto the Insider track? Here's some tips to avoid Error 1337 (I don't remember exactly; it was like The referenced assembly could not be found) when integrating .NET 3.5: This probably works on LTSC and what I always do. (That's reason the full progrss has .NET 3.5 feature: already enabled) 1. Mount the install.wim with Dism++ or whatever. 2. Enable .NET 3.5 with DISM or Dism++. 3. Since it's in pending state, the WinSxS cannot be cleaned. So we will install this modified Image and use Sysprep. 4. Put autounattend.xml (rename .txt to .xml) in root of ISO folder, or you can put in MOUNTED_WIM_FOLDER\Windows\Panther\unattend.xml. (Or you could use Audit mode; but it will cause always Just a moment... even for deployed image.) 5. Save (Commit) WIM. 6. Rebuild ISO using NTLite. 7. Install in VM. 8. It will immediately login using Built-In Administrator account. Do Sysprep by doing C:\Windows\System32\sysprep\sysprep.exe /oobe /generalize /shutdown once you reached desktop. 9. If you used VMware to do this, mount VMDK or convert to VHD using VBoxManage then mount VHD. 10. Capture WIM by using Dism++, Open Session of your mounted VHD then File > Save as, then choose destination that you want to save. 11. Replace wim with the new one from ISO. 12. Done! Now you can do W10UI with .NET 3.5 enabled, and can perform Cleamup! Note 1: It's recommended to unestablish internet/network inside Virtual Machine because it can pull some Windows Updates in background. Note 2: For Windows 11 24H2+, setting Cleanup=2 is mandatory or it will cause corruption of components.
