Do you believe Microsoft is going to rebrand Windows 10 to something else?

All of this sounds like improvements to the store and DWP to create more powerful apps with ease.
It should still be the same old windows 10

So MS will release 3 versions of windows in 21H2?

Windows 10 19044 (extend support time for Enterprise & Education Edition)
    Windows 10 Enterprise/Windows 10 IoT Enterprise/Windows Server LTSC 2022 (20xxx)
    Windows 10 Sun Valley (21xxx)

Sun Valley is apparently not Windows 10. It's another version. Doesn't surprise me if they bump the kernel version too.
Microsoft is going to keep this under heavy wraps until the official annoucement comes.

There will be the Windows 10 family (21H2, Enterprise LTSC 2022, Server LTSC 2022) and this new Windows with it's own slew of SKUs and variants.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sun Valley becomes Windows 10.1.

Afaik, Sun valley (i can't read that name anymore) is just a name for UI changes in upcoming Windows builds.

Server 2022 LTSC info can be found here:
    https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...techbench-only-atm.83200/page-11#post-1662029

All other stuff is just speculation and wacky zacky bowden trying to be interesting.

Well, all new releases of windows before were mostly cosmetic. There are lot of changes behind the shell, but every release was backed up with 'huge' UI and cosmetic changes. In every industry is like that - UI and cosmetic changes are very important too, and when they make it, they call a new cosmestic change with different name, which is new and different from previous.

  9. It will probably at least take a couple of years for sun valley to be released. Its development will probably be like Longhorn/Vista...

    My predictions:

    NAME
    • "Windows 10" drops 10, just "Windows".
    • The build number remains 10.0.21*** and going forward they keep just calling the version 21h2 / 22h1 / 22h2...

    GUI

    What we already know:
    • Round corners
    • Start menu similar to 10x leaks
    • More animations

What I believe will be coming:
    • More dark mode across the board
    • More new icons, finally replacing many of the Vista era (but not all and some Windows 9X era still present)
    • New clean install experience, replacing the Vista/7 install when using a USB/DVD
    • The Window Minimize, Restore, close buttons updated.
    • The colors used on white and dark themes updated/modified.
    • Taskbar option to center Star Menu.
    • A new default wallpaper

    LEGACY
    • More legacy removed across the board
    • Many of the old system apps updated to fluent design, example Disk Manager, Device Manager, Services, Disk Cleanup, Disk Defragmenter, etc..

This was a common practice for them back in the Windows 8 days where the first few builds which leaked looked basically identical to Windows 7, however, big features such as the Start Screen were already on those builds, albeit blocked.

Could this also be the case with recent "Cobalt/Sun Valley/Windows 11" public builds?

If yes, it would be cool if we could find a way to enable them...

Note: I am calling it "Windows 11" for lack of an official name...
