Hello, i need help, i know i have to use it in a virtual machine but i don't want it, i want install directly but after i select "Windows 11 Pro" it say "my pc isn't compatible" i'm trying to install it in a Dell Latitude e6420 Core i5 etc etc. i try disable the Vpro, secure boot and nothing happends
Would you mind making a short clip of your desktop experience in such hardware? Just a few seconds to see how the UI performs on your specs
I installed it in a VMware Workstation 16 virtual machine that was set to only use BIOS. Windows 11 installed correctly and never showed any errors. I'm not sure if it would work on an actual system that doesn't have UEFI though.
According to this nice folks, secure boot must be enabled. Try launching the install image directly onto Windows so the setup installer can make a hardware check and give you more details about the requirements
But the point of WIndows 11 this early is to present a redesigned UI. If you like Windows 10 look, stick with it. There isn't really any functionality being lost if you do so
hmm that s**t here also did not work the new W11 being so I should go to the website of M$FT and search for the new hardware requirements that I believe is where the problem is...
we can avoid the tpm, we must download the appraiserres dll on the website dllme / com and exchange it with the one in the "sources" folder of the iso image
I had no problem installing Windows 11 Pro as MBR, UEFI (without secure boot), and UEFI with secure boot in VMWare, all without a TPM module added. I like most of what I see--EXCEPT the taskbar can no longer be extended to multiple monitors, and the "combine desktop icons" when the taskbar is full feature is gone now, so every open app shows a small icon instead of an expanded one with the app name, filename, etc. I will sorely miss both of those features unless Microsoft adds them back.
Nothing special, pretty standard VMWare virtual machine. I just tested as BIOS, UEFI (with and without secure boot), etc. and it installed OK each time, no errors or messages about TPM. This was a clean install booting off the .iso each time though, not an upgrade of Win10.
ok thank you very much, but I also did the normal procedure and even right at the beginning of the installation was asked for the key and I enter my hwid coming from Windows 7 but no curse result...
