If you do a File Search in 19043.1023 for 21H2 you can find 500 21H2 Files listed. Do we need a 21H2 Enablement Package to enable them ?
Yep guys, seems like we are basically reliving the old days of Windows beta testing. (This reminds of the Windows 8 beta days)... The joy of searching for small undocumented / hidden changes in testing builds like a treasure hunt... The secrecy... The hype... One thing that made me happy is to see that my posts have been merged into a single post dedicated to discuss a big new Windows version. Let's enjoy these times my friends.
M$ just wants to make hype around Sun Valley to get attention, but keep the final product as a secret until release. Just like in the old days.
More like Windows Vista/Longhorn is making a comeback. As predicted... Several leaks like this will start showing up in the coming days/weeks leading to the official announcement. But I do sincerely hope this is not just another Windows 10 update. Dear God no.
What are you expecting? 10X got killed off and now they are putting that cosmetic crap into normal windows.
The "Windows 10" brand is getting tiring... starting to feel dated. But that's just my personal opinion.
Cosmatic Crap ??? Back in the day (Win 7) we would make our own UI by modding MsStyles.dll. Change Colors, Bit Maps, etc. Some made there own Icons. Don't really see it in Win 10 much.
To be sincere I am expecting a drastic change, kind of like Win7 > Win8 transition. Except this time people are more accquainted and used to modern apps and other Win8 stuff. So it's not going to fail miserably.
They have mentioned dropping the "10" part in the past and just calling it "Windows". But it won't be a whole new OS, just version updates like we have been getting.
Here's what I predict will happen... Windows 10 will remain as the base for Server LTSC and Enterprise LTSC releases -- because it's stable and relatively unchanging, essential attributes for corporate environments. Whereas only us general consumers and enthusiasts will get this new revamped / modernized OS -- for now. Eventually (after several years), the entire Windows codebase will be migrated to this new version, with it becoming the core for the aforementioned LTSC releases. Windows 10 will die off.
Maybe they will just rebrand everything to "Microsoft". Every time my Mother calls be for tech support, the conversation starts with "My Microsoft is acting up".
With the CPU race heating up again maybe its time to scrap all legacy code and start over throwing all legacy code into an emulation/virtualization layer. The biggest problem MS has when innovating is the insane amount of legacy stuff they need to avoid breaking.
