Been awhile I'll just snag this for some testing

 

This leaked release of Windows 11 is like leaving the house and having a stranger come in and move all my furniture around.

I thought that MSFT learned with Windows 8, that you can't do this without paying a price for it. I stayed with Windows 7 back then, and I'll probably stay with Windows 10 until the Windows 11 interface is a bit friendlier. I don't have time to go searching for all my tools.

I immediately went looking for the following folders:
Windows Accessories
Windows Administrative Tools
Windows System

I know that the components are in different folders and menus, but did they have to do this?

 

Insiders are getting ready for 21H2 (19044) Due out in Oct. to Public.

Not even needed. I was getting the not compatible message. Used the Microsoft Media Creation tool to create a bootable Win 10 USB, deleted the install.esd from the Sources folder, pasted the install.wim from the Win 11 iso and booted to the USB. It didn't seem to matter that i had deleted the .esd and put in a .wim - installed fine and worked properly

Why add TPM in the 1st place ?

Why (so easy) and possible to just copy the install.wim from the LEAK onto a standard 64 bit Win 10 installer + deleting the install.esd ?

Why 10X remnants ? Why Sun Valley ? Why ? ;D

How does one Lock/Unlock the Taskbar in 21996.1? I can't seem to find this switch. I've even gone into the registry and set it to unlock to no avail.

 

The new Taskbar seems to be hardcoded for now.

 

I can get Classic Shell or Open-Shell to install a Classic Start menu, and replace the start button. But Stardock Windowblinds won't skin the Windows 11 taskbar. With Windows 10, it doesn't matter if the taskbar is locked or unlocked, you can still skin the taskbar with Windowblinds. A lot of things are moved around. This creates a steep user interface learning curve. I doubt that there is any more functionality to Windows 11 than Windows 10. It's just a new dress on the same gal!

 

Well, on 24th we will see the new 22000 build so it should be working.
