I have been using the Windows 11 leaked build for sometime now. I don't really see anything grand about it compared with Windows 10 apart from the changes in most of the icons and the UI upgrade. It even refuses to install in my old system which is intel gen 3 due to TMP 2.0 error(I am able to get over this by replacing a particular file in the Source folder with the one from Windows 10) but It works in my new laptop. I have to remove it from my new system because it is my general purpose system. However, my notion is that Microsoft has a better plan for Windows 11 generally. I hope they can realise that after trying the Windows Terminal that comes with it.
How true this I dont know, BUT I have heard the big difference to Windows 10 is that its not really anything special, ---- is it has far better data capture performance on users habits it can send down the pipe to who ever. After all users data is the new money maker now-a-days, worth heaps. Windows 11 takes more of your privacy away.
If you really need to use Windows, why not try version 1.0, it probably is the least bloated version of them all…
I’m tired of hearing, why are they naming it 11, it isn’t that all different from 10… That’s odd, I could swear that every new year, a iOS version comes out, a new Android, a new Mac OS, a new Linux, etc… and none cares about the name/version +1, I guess in Windows world you should stick to a version number for eternity…
Because Windows 10 was the last name of Windows and if someone ask about Windows 11 people were laugh at him. And now it's real.
I'm trying to remember how they did the Win10 rollout. Back then they still had the MSDN listing publicly available. I wanna say that they made it available that same day that they released it, but I don't quite remember. I definitely don't remember the Win10RTM being leaked before the MSDN files. I specifically remember OEM files coming long after the MSDN ones. Hopefully someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but no I don't remember any RTM leak or any such thing before the actual announced events. I also suspect that Thursday's event is just the announcement for the release and not the actual release day event.
