Now that we had the first major leak, do you guys think we'll see any more leaks in the coming days leading to the June 24 event?
Nobody uses Windows for it's "looks", rather compatibility and stability... Something that nu-Microsoft have forgotten about. A facelift is nice I guess but it just means more bloat to remove / uninstall. I can see why LTS versions are becoming ever so popular. Hopefully LTS 2022 isn't based off 21H1 or H2 as 20H2 v2 is pretty solid overall.
This always had me curious... Why are new Windows versions always surrounded by this almost conspiracy-like secrecy? For example, Windows 8 builds had this huge threatening (threatening to take legal action and stuff) watermark on their desktops.... And now again with "Windows 11"... And famous people outside Microsoft who have access to this inside information avoid spilling the beans at any cost, like they are afraid. Also today the Windows Insider Team announced there aren't going to be any new builds for the next few weeks, but only servicing pipeline-testing updates for build 21390... Under the excuse of needing to test these updates one on top of the other... When literally the entire tech community already knows the real reason why they're doing this... It really does feel like a conspiracy LOL Why is this? Note: I do like this secrecy stuff as it reminds me of the Windows 8 days... But I never understood why exactly do tech companies do this...
No no, I don't mean Sun Valley specifically... But in general... Why do tech companies in general do this?
Marketing. Time limited, intended for the best of the best, as long as you are the first one to get it. It is something new, cool, something you can not have, yet, so you have to get it ASAP. Even though it is the same old, just with a new packaging. You got the cola, hah, I got the cola with my name on it. I am cool, I am unique, I will pay more for it.
