To get back to the other quirk with 11 - Deleted a Windows.old of 24Gb from one partition and Windows Explorer still shows the drive has having the same ~6Gb free it did before. BUT... opening it in partitioning software, it shows the roughly 30Gb it should have is free. So is explorer just not reporting it right or..?
No, i dont have TPM 2.0. But reinstalling Windows 11 and rejoining the Insider program from scratch automaticaly put me in the Dev channel again.
If your board does not have a TPM header/bios option...then yes. Personally I'm thinking this will cause such an uproar that M$ might change that. Their might be a court action because as far as I know, only OEM's provide TPM chips on their boards and that cuts out DIY'ers from building their own pc's with Windows !!
Microsoft has updated the mininum system requirements... No more Hard Floor / Soft Floor... TPM 2.0 and a compatible CPU model are now mandatory.
TPM chips The chip generates a unique permanent identifier for a specific computer. This number is generated while the computer is still being built and cannot be changed. This identifier is then read by the various web services and software that are installed on the computer. That's right away you have telemetry and control over all the sheep. The TPM chips should not be bought, they should be soldered out and thrown away. If you want to have at least minimal anonymity. Generally speaking, the Trusted Platform Module is more of a political and legal tool than a technological system. How to apply this chip will be decided by politicians.
