Audio Stack has been updated in this build with a very noticable improvement for my Soundblaster ZxR.

Personally I think MS will stick to their baseline requirements. Where my AMD TR 1950X fails is because the processor is a generation 1, and whilst supporting secure boot and TPM 2.0 - it lacks virtualization-based security (VBS) and hypervisor-protected code integrity (HVCI).

So whilst I'll be able to test drive every preview build released on Insiders, I think the final build will not work with my system, which MS basically say anyway. So either MDL wizardry to work around that or I'll need to go back to Windows 10 and upgrade hardware at a later point.

tried insider build direct update from windows 10.

after reboot, got win 11 experiece. quite smooth and no problem so far.
just notice that file explorer still have ribbon menu but with new icon.

after another reboot, file explorer (and maybe other part that i miss) got full upgraded to win11 component

There is no longer the option to delete file permanently at File Explore as it used to be also.

My computer has a third generation Intel processor and runs Windows 10, version 21H1 (19043.1081) very well.
I will have problems with Windows11?

Windows 11 is not supported on a 3rd generation CPU. Minimum is 8th generation.

sorry for this obviousness but... it would not be better to make a new dedicated Windows 11 section instead of Windows 11 subsections inside Windows 10 ?
    just for a "clear" reading

Windows has never deleted any files permanently. All files are stored on the hard disk for as long as there is space available. You probably wanted to say that there is no choice to bypass the Recycle.Bin (trash). But this I don't belive.

    PS.
And one more thing - maybe it would be time to stop commenting 21996.1 (April 2021) now, because 22000.51 (Date 05.06.2021) is available to everyone who wants it.

    @Hadron-Curious
There is currently a page of plain text written in A4 format full of similar errors and problems.
Do You really going to start rewriting them all one by one here again?
These all are known to Microsoft and they trying to repair them one-by-one.

The current explorer still has a lot of limitations as evident from an hr of testing. Basic things like 7-zip don't have support for context menus yet. The Right click context menu where you click "Show more options" to reveal the older context menu feels tacky as f***. The new thick bar which replaced the ribbon.... Does it want to be translucent ? or project the faint color of the wallpaper while remaining opaque ? It is not consistent with new settings app. At least they could have back / forward arrows at same places for better muscle memory. The context menus everywhere are so obnoxiously large that they look comical. I hope Microsoft takes the "Right Feedback" from community and implements it before actual release.

Why do they need to show me recommended apps in new start menu? Why can't I reclaim that space to pin more apps there instead? If I disable recommended apps, that area remains blank or wasted. This means poor UI design. Why STILL I cannot disable the rubbish "Top Apps" in Search box? Isn't it the same as Recommended Apps in the new start menu? I have sent countless feedback about that useless feature when it launched 2 yrs back yet zero f***s were given.

Apple are far ahead in terms of UI design and overall friendliness when it comes to OS design. I am not even an Apple fan. Far from it.

Hmm, 7-Zip and WinRAR context menus working fine for me. I agree about the start menu -- this is MS' favorite place to mess things up :D

Hint; It's an early, extremely unfinished, bleeding edge preview of something not due for many months yet...

On another note; Anyone had any luck with Factory OS? It failed to even build the default image for me.. Believe this is the new Windows Embedded equivalent (Windows Core).
EDIT: Seems to be building the VM version right now... Let's see how this goes. Miss how configurable Windows 7 Embedded was!

From what it says it seems to me to be a MUCH better option than ' win 11 ' . Hopefully someone can make it work for us :)

Curiously and a bit foolishly, they don't require secure boot for Factory OS. #Consistent
(Another mistake - the guide for it states you can use a 32Gb flash drive. Nope. It'll fail and tell you its too small...)
