I might be wrong but 24h2 LTSC when I was testing it in vhdx had the changing wallpapers on the login screen. For the IoT this is not the case. Is it possible to enable it for IoT? PS I instaled the latest IoT build 1742 a fresh and updated via MS online.
Is there a windows 11 Enterprise IOT N ISO available? Not sure if this edition exists or not to tell you the truth.
The Windows 11 Enterprise IoT N LTSC version does not exist in any language, only the Windows 11 Enterprise N LTSC version is available for UE countries.
Giacomino1968 ML Membre normal internet/edge open with your lang at startup you have validated your lang at startup oobe english/international to select error but works
Wmic seems to be disabled in 24h2, so several programs use this, what can we do? Is it really unnecessary enough for Microsoft to have disabled it in 24h2? Should we add that feature? Is there a way to add it offline? It's worth it? What do we do with this? It seems that Microsoft is indecisive
this is not safe, on ru-ru image if you install en-us from windows settings you won't be able to install FoDs / reinstall LCU https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1854369 the safest way is to download LPX in Appx format and install it in powershell / with App installer, this way it only installs the LXP and doesn't mess with the component store
Hi, installed Win 11 24H2 in English translated into Italian via Settings. I have an incorrect translation in Defender as per attached image. What is missing?
The safest thing is that when you update everything is put in Italian if you have put the update 26100.1742 update to the latest update 26100.1882.
@sebus That's interesting. Can you please give the 26100.1742 ISO a try and see whether GA setup binaries can handle the scenario better?
@sebus maybe your installed version is LTSC Not IoT. If so, you need to convert LTSC 2021 to IoT LTSC 2021. MAS (Microsoft Activation Scripts) can do it.
But now if you download and install any language via Settings, you will download LPX, not LpCab. So I don"t think it"s unsafe for FoDs/LCU install/reinstal... Anyway I will check it on my new IoT LTSC that I have installed on external SSD.
No, it installs LXP and trying to reinstall LCU, which corrupts component store Language installation from windows settings is bugged, the reason is broken en-us language I'm going to integrate all LXPs to the install.wim, not gonna risk it anymore
I can understand you but earlier today I installed IoT LTSC on external SSD https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...2024-24h2-26100-x.88280/page-104#post-1855444 Checked just now, no any CU, only Windows Malicious Software Tool KB890830...
you don't need WU to check that, install en-us language (not sure about the others) and check task viewer, dism will try to reinstall LCU for 10 minutes or so when it's done, try to install other FoDs like handwriting or speech recognition - you'll get an error reboot and try to install FoDs again - it will be installed successfully only then check WU again, you'll be offered with the latest LCU and it wouldn't be possible to reinstall it it was tested several times already here https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1854261
Do you think that the LpCaps will be fixed soon? I'm still waiting for a Danish language pack that works on Server 26100
