Edge can uninstalled via "Installed Apps" menu on an online image by editing IntegratedServicesRegionPolicySet.json and tricking the system into thinking you are part of EEA compliant country. This requires some fiddling with NTFS security permissions to be able to modify that file however, and you have to reboot before it recognizes the change. There are also some more drastic powershell scripts that can just forcefully delete Edge as well (thought leaving behind registry entries etc.). There is way to purge Edge completely in an offline image before installation, but this servicing option is not documented.
I used this method and it worked fine. There is only one minor issue: If you set Autostart=1 and set "AutoEditions=IoTEnterprise" the script does not create the requested IoT iso, instead it exits with the message "source already contains requested editions" or something along these lines. Cheers.
Because it's not IoTEnterprise, you forgot s at the end correct edition name is IoTEnterpriseS S = LTSC
That is probably correct. I'm asking this because the readme contains the supported values and they are both present: "Supported editions values: Enterprise, Education, ProfessionalEducation, ProfessionalWorkstation, CloudEdition, ServerRdsh, IoTEnterprise, IoTEnterpriseK EnterpriseN, EducationN, ProfessionalEducationN, ProfessionalWorkstationN, CloudEditionN CoreSingleLanguage IoTEnterpriseS, IoTEnterpriseSK" To verify, I actually used the Dism getwiminfo command to see which version was created without the autostart option, and it was in fact IoTEnterprise LTSC. I will test again and now add the "S" at the end with autostart enabled. Edit: Yes, now it was flawless with the autostart enabled. Thanks! Cheers.
S = LTSC, nothing else There are only 3 LTSC editions - enterprises, iotenterprises, iotenterprisesk K = subscription
Just installed it. Not only games but also explorer and settings windows are crashing from time to time... On 7800X3D, maybe it has to do with the chipset drivers... no idea
Ok, 24h2 already comes with the fod wmic packages, so that command will only enable the feature? How can I do it offline?
