I don't think so, Eval SKUs are not meant to be activated beyond Evaluation period and are missing the license channels for perpetual activation.
But if replace SKU folder in Eval edition to a same folder from non-Eval? I remember I have seen some video where someone did something like that with Windows 10 LTSC 2021 Eval.
I upgraded from Windows LTSC 2019 to LTSC 24H2 a few weeks ago, and spent a few weeks tweaking thousands of settings, group policies, and registries. I have to say, it takes up more system resources than LTSC 2019. On LTSC 2019, the memory usage after system startup is usually 2.5GB + 600MB Standby, while on LTSC 24H2, after a lot of optimization, I still can't make it lower than 2.8GB + 1GB Standby, and this is only after the system starts. When running any program after startup, the RAM usage will continue to soar. I know that unused RAM is not good RAM, but I keep those unused RAM for virtual machines, and I really don't want to see Windows using too much RAM.
Phew, long thread once again… Hello, I would like to build a slightly slimmer W11 Enterprise LTSC (not IoT) and cleanly remove the things I don't need (Edge browser, new image viewer etc.) from the ISO. What is the best tool to do this with? Which one can be used to do the job properly so that the OS runs smoothly? Should I use NTLite for this? Have a nice rest of the day!
Yes, LTSC 2024 is a bad release, it's very slow (like W11 24H2) because the antimalware and security are taking lots of resources. I'm now in LTSC 2021, and also I like 2019 because it lacks Edge. In 2024 Edge auto starts and programs like New Outlook and Developer Start? (Inicio de desarrollo in Spanish) are auto installed
same problem with my Intel i3-3240T processor. every time starts computer with f2 & bios set default then start. after installing windows 11 24H2.
@ dabour: I read about schneegans.de, but didn't really know how to use them. I'll take a look at the other tools. I have some problems understanding the technical English completely. I have to work my way through it. Thank you for the tip!
This project is also interesting for creating a slim Windows 11. The original author had written a script to slim down Windows 10 and speed it up a lot, but unfortunately left the forum. After that, others worked on slimming down Windows 11, take a look at the posts at the end of the discussion. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-ltsc-2021-into-classic-legacy-windows.86552/
In settings Display - Graphics When I click on graphics the window automatically closes. Is there anyone who has the same problem as me or just i have this problem? Edit: I'm using iot ltsc
