When the 26200 EP was first releaded: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1874238 & https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1874227
To save time, I made 26100.5510 as my checkpoint. It only installed 26100.1742+26100.5510 and then uninstalled SSU. IoTEnterpriseS. SenseClientFod Removed. 26100.5510→setup.exe→26200.5516→WU downloaded and installed 26100.1742+26100.5516 again, causing severe lag. 26200.5516→EKB Removed→26100.5516→SenseClientFod Removed→setup.exe→26100.5518→WU did nothing. Although it may sound a bit silly, upgrading to a version that WU does not have can avoid reinstalling LCU and some misbehaving Fod.
checkpoint (or base) builds are only 26100.1 and 26100.1742, you can't call 5510 as a checkpoint you should be fine with 26100.1742, as the 1st LCU will not be reinstalled anyway
1(base) to 5518 too slow 1742(base) to 5518 slow 5510(base) to 5518 oh yes i know checkpoint is 1742 but my checkpoint is 5510
Will updating from 5510 to 5518 save more time than updating from 1742 to 5518? Shouldn't the smaller the difference, the less time it takes to update? We're not talking about the same thing at all. By the way, have a nice day.
in general, not really in this case this is just because the latest LCUs have huge apps built in, you can open that LCUs with 7-zip and see a ton of new stuff next to the wim+psf LCU files I'm just talking about the terms, 26100.5510 is refresh ISO
We do not have any say in what MS considers a checkpoint update. KB5043080 is the only one so far. In my eyes, it has caused more trouble than it solved anything, so far.
