Display-only (just a Registry entry), the update itself means Jack for LTSC, as the actual features are blocked via ProductPolicies.
The question is, after I install 25h2 in LTSC, will the system update normally on patch days because the tar with 25h2 won't confuse the system when running WinUpdate? Will it work with the common LTSC updates?
I have mentioned it a few times already, to know that for sure we'll have to wait till the next LCU is released, i would not install the 25H2 EP on LTSC on my main systems, only to test in a (virtual) test environment. And i have said 100s of times before, LTSC should and did never get feature upgrades, that was one of the main purposes of LTSC.. The confusion now is because the applicability list mentions EnterpriseS, it never did on Windows 10 EP's. All 26xx0 updates are in fact 26100 updates, only the small EP makes the difference.
I know but IoT Enterprise LTSC is mainly chosen because it's lightest and already debloated (mostly) out of the box, so mainly for gaming outside of, well, Enterprises. Some new features for it could be could be cool as well, especially if related to gaming, so asking if it's at least possible to install them manually is a legit question.
The remark has nothing to do with this, it was a joke, Enterprise Short Term Servicing Channel. Iot Enterprise 202x LTSC is not (and i hate the use of this term for the purpose it is abused these days) more "debloated then normal Enterprise 202x LTSC, And LTSC is by definition not (specially) meant for gaming, it is an Office use, gamefree, OS (so the clerk keeps their eyes on the job )
Like I said, I know. What I meant was that "regular" people are still using IoT Enterprise LTSC mainly for gaming because of such low footprint and requirements, so once they are on it they would also like to keep up with gaming apps/features. Installing MS Store, Xbox app + Game Bar, Steam, MSI Afterburner + RTSS and its overlays, all is possible and run great already now. But if 25H2 will also introduce exclusive useful gaming features in it, it could be cool to also have them in IoT (even if installed manually like all the rest above)
Same footprint, only the requirements differ, IoT LTSC doesn't enforce the tpm 2.0 crap. Most people run IoT Enterprise 202x LTSC because someone said them to run it or made it look compelling to run it on all kinds of claims, even the 5+5 years of support is not really the reason for most, as soon as 2027 LTSC arrives most will upgrade to it anyway. The just run non LTSC when you put all back in what originally was left out and the reason to use it. We keep running in circles here, like with everytime a new "release" arrives, all theories run wild.
there is such a small difference you cant basically even feel it, few select games might have a +20 fps diff
You can definitely feel input latency and frame pacing smoothness/stability difference as 1% Lows FPS will be noticeably better in all games.
New features (which were clearly present when using vivetool) will most likely be (gradually be rolled out), or moved to the next real major release. Else it is really a fake new release as it already was, just for keeping up the release frequentie one every year.. nah, with 25H2 they now removed existing features a maintenance release? MSFT should stop being so secretive in the nonsense/hype/misinformation era
@Enthousiast sorry to take your time but I need your help: How can I download the iso from windows 11 Enterprise LTSC x64 PT-BR Official and not insider if it is possible I get grateful now thanks
Here's where the downloads are for Enterprise LTSC 2024 https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1854338
I think they are sometimes as clueless as we are. Wouldn't deny they might check here (or on one of the tech portals) sometimes for info we collected about their stuff. Being a large company does not only have advantages.
I havent been able to find a LTSC en-gb ISO that isnt a windows insider build like the ones linked on massgrave.
