hey thank you for the reply. I checked restore point, don't have any. And I can't roll back the ep update anymore, it isn't listed in windows update's uninstall updates section
I used the updated (by W10UI) 2024 LTSC ISO, but every 2024 LTSC ISO should work (officially released 2024 LTSC ISOs: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1854338) Restore points are not enabled on 24H2. And never are a good advise to use them.
Why aren't? In my IoT LTSC 2024 RPs are created after any update via WU, it may be created manually as well if necessary. I don't use it 'coz I have AOMEI Backupper backups but If one has no other option to rollback (OS repair) RPs are a possible solution. Maybe you removed or don't have the recovery partition, this may be a reason why your RPs aren't enabled.
I tried setup.exe from my ltsc iso (massgrave link) 26100.1742, nothing happens, like before, even after fixing the iso (AIO 2b method). But i guess it's not needed, my pc is fully supported by windows 11 24h2 and 25h2 (ryzen 7 5th gen , tpm ecc). I think my last chance is trying updated ltsc iso. Where do i get yours? My language is it-it. Can't find any secure place to download it
Setup not starting has not much to do with what build, lemme try with the 26100.1742 ISO on the 26200.6725 test install.
@sardanus Now using the original MVS released 26100.1742 Enterprise 2024 LTSC ISO, but it doesn't work, it reverts changes half way: How to make yourself an uptodate ISO is explained here: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1571109 but with these updates: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1830860 and these source ISOs: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1854338
I can waste my time to test on my test pc too... Setup not starting should never happen, on whatever platform.
I care to help people with proper and tested information and put in the effort. Preparing the real hardware test... My advices here: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...2024-24h2-26100-x.88280/page-159#post-1892611 were quite reliable. IMHO, best ways in that case are restore from backup (if exists) or OS re-installation...
Yes IF: - restore points were made on a very regularly base and with proper description so you actually know what you are resetting to and even then it is not a good solution to use restore points, MSFT disabled that option for a reason. - the 25H2 EP is no longer removable - no backup was made Then the advise is for the future and even then i doubt a backup will be created next time.
You didn't read my appropriate posts carefully... In one of them I said of RPs: "as an option", in another one I meant "as an last option" if there is nothing left... Generally I can agree that using RPs is not that good idea, they may not work properly, that's why I make third party app backup. But if it suddenly works, why not?
Hello there, This is the link from Windows 11 loT Enterprise LTSC? Do I need to change anything before installing it? Just asking... thanks. Code: en-us_windows_11_enterprise_ltsc_2024_x64_dvd_965cfb00.iso
Your biggest, to put it mildly, "mistake" is that you initially started posting that the 25H2 EP compatible with Windows 11 LTSC, that it contained the EnterpriseS SKU and so on, and many users here began integrating. Now you're writing that this isn't necessary and are trying to correct your "mistake"... And you call this helping users? IMHO, very strange help...
