Gents, I took the plunge today and installed Win 11 Enterprise IoT LTSC on my Main PC. (Dumping Win 11 25H2 in all it's glory or should I say gory?)

I'm trying Office 365 from the Github MAS site. Outlook /Hotmail made me change my password which I thought was strange. (Now I'll have to do the same on my iPhone, iPad, and various other devices and web browsers that I use to sometime read my email.

I'm now going to see what Programs / Apps I need to install.

    Suggestions are welcome.

Win 10/11 IoT LTSC is not intended for home use.. Will you activate IoT LTSC via HWID ?
    Sometimes it's useful to think…
WHY is Microsoft giving you free HWID keys if the official price list for the Windows11 Enterprise license costs $500?
are MS idiots?... No, they're not idiots..
HWID is a one-way road, it's an irreversible act.
By agreeing to the HWID, you enter into a Contractual relationship with MS, and all the block numbers of your computer will be rewritten and stored forever on Microsoft servers.

And why would that be? not for home users?
? where is MSFT giving away free hwid keys?
All MSDM activations end up there too, what is the problem? And you can also go for the KMS_VL_ALL activation.

ja.. a trial, or buy an official license for Home Windows - or kms activation for 180 days (KMS_VL_ALL, MAS, kms-online, etc.)
Who wants a "free" cheese HWID is his problem.

Are there copilot & recall on Windows 11 Enterprise IoT LTSC? I don't want anything like that. Do settings remain after updates? So, is it as 10 IoT LTSC is, regarding such things? Thank you.

I've been using 10 IoT LTSC on my main PC for almost two years and it works excellent.
I will activate it using KMS_VL_ALL, have been using it for years now and it works great.
It's always useful to think. :)
MS is a greedy corporation turning OS into a subscription service, step by step...

Nope, not that i know off, one of the first updates disbales or removes that from LTSC.
Do updates change settings, never seen that happen?
    That's IoTEnterpriseK ;)

And that new windows 365 crap (or whatever it is called these days), you are not forced to use any of that.

I've installed Win 11 Enterprise IoT LTSC on 3 or 4 Laptops just to test it out (for months) before installing it on my Main PC on Monday. I've install the Win 10 version on some laptops for testing as well before deciding on this version. You are not being steered wrong by @Enthousiast as this is the version to install.

I looked into debloating Win11 25H2 instead, but in a lot of cases Windows Updates just reinstalls /enables what we are trying to avoid. Windows updates only installs Security updates and not "features". You can add Apps as you wish. I've got a thread that already has links to various Apps you may want.

I've just run into my first glitch on this image. But I'm thinking it's more related to the Office 365 I'm trying out, than Win 11 Enterprise IoT LTSC.

Previously (on Win 11 25H2) I had wallpapers that spanned my Dual Monitors, and this default install doesn't include that. So I wanted to explore what was available so I right clicked the Desktop and selected Explore Background. The next thing I saw was Edge opened up in the other monitor and a Box said Synching across all your devices, and it signed me into my Microsoft Account. Grrr.....

I have a Hotmail account using Office 365 Outlook Classic and it seems to be like a Web based App. (I'm not liking it so far and it's only been a day or two.) I figure somehow it used that info to switch me from a Local Account to a Microsoft Account. I really don't know much about Office 365 but I (probably mistakenly) assumed that it wouldn't require you to use a Microsoft Account. If it does I'm going to punt it ASAP.

Just word of warning to others.

Thank you both for replying. So, if I understand correctly, Windows 11 Enterprise IoT LTSC is THE Windows version to install? I'll probably update a Windows 11 Home installation (that already came on a laptop) to Enterprise IoT LTSC.
