It should not get new features or such but if the improvement is done by LCU it could work. Else install normal (IoT) Enterprise non LTSC, that will get feature upgrades.. Problem is that MSFT doesn't talk about LTSC in public.
Hello! Something strange happened to me yesterday. After a fresh installation of Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 (activated via Massgrave), I tried to install Microsoft Office Professional Plus LTSC 2024. Once the installation was complete and I entered the license key, Office was indeed activated—but the version changed to LTSC and, to my surprise, showed up as "unactivated"! I re-entered the license key via the command prompt, and the activation was successful again. Has this happened to any of you?
I did not know that 11 IoT (non-LTSC) does not require a TPM since version 24H2. I was wondering why my VM was able to download & install insider builds after I installed abbodi's excellent Offline Insider Enroll, until I searched and saw that it doesn't require a TMP. Who here was aware of this? This makes more of a GA version able to run on old hardware.
Updates don't check for the requirements, upgrades do. But: IoT Enterprise and IoT Enterprise LTSC both don't enforce the Windows 11 requirements.
